Pro-crime policies that tolerate hard drug use along with an unmitigated crisis at the southern border has created a drug problem the likes of which America has never seen before.
Deadly drugs like fentanyl have proliferated the streets of most American communities, and people are dying off in droves.
But Joe Biden is speechless after this major city faces a morbid crisis.
Drugs are destroying America from the inside out
All across the country, particularly in areas controlled by Democrats, drugs are causing people to drop like flies.
Drugs like fentanyl have poured through the Mexican border due to Joe Biden’s open border policies and each and every day people are dying as a direct result.
One city in particular that has seen a major uptick in hard drug use is Seattle, Washington.
Things have gotten so bad in Seattle that the city is literally running out of room to put the dead bodies.
Last week at a Seattle Board of Health meeting, Seattle-King County Public Health Director Dr. Faisal Khan explained how serious this issue has become.
Per Dr. Khan, “A key indication of just how bad things are at the end of 2022 and likely to get worse [in] 2023, the medical examiner’s office is now struggling with the issue of storing bodies because the fentanyl-related death toll continues to climb.”
Dr. Khan added “When the final review of fatal overdoses is completed in the upcoming weeks, I fear that 2022 will set another heartbreaking record for fatal overdoses in King County. It will more than double the number of lives lost compared to just three years ago in 2019.”
These revelations should not surprise anybody who has kept a pulse on Seattle politics.
In recent years, the far-Left extremists who attempt to govern the city of Seattle and the State of Washington have done nothing to combat drug abuse.
If anything, they have encouraged hard drug use through free needle exchanges, and so-called “safe injection sites” among other pro-drug measures.
People will keep dying off in droves unless something is done fast
What is happening in Seattle, and many other Democrat-controlled cities is nothing short of a tragedy.
Even worse, this tragedy can easily be prevented yet Democrats do not seem to give a damn.
Closing the southern border is the first thing that needs to be done to turn the tide on the hard drug use epidemic.
The southern border is where a large majority of hard drugs come from, and until the border is secure then drugs will only continue to pour in.
Pro-drug policies like free needle exchanges do not help the crisis.
If Democrats do not get serious about stopping the drug problem then dead bodies will continue to pile up at the medical examiner’s office.
