New York City already has enough to deal with when it comes to problems like homelessness and crime.
But ever since tens of thousands of illegal aliens entered the Big Apple, it seems these types of issues have gotten much worse.
Now three illegal aliens were just arrested after doing the unimaginable at this NY shelter
Randall’s Island shelter residents arrested
The NYPD has reported that a scuffle with a security guard landed three illegal immigrants in handcuffs.
The three illegal aliens, ages 23, 22, and 30 got into an argument with a security guard, and the 23-year-old punched the guard in the face.
Once the 23-year-old was in custody, another man stepped in to interfere with the police, which resulted in him receiving charges as well.
Then, a third man got involved and also ended up in cuffs, per NYPD reports.
The second and third men assaulted the security guard right in front of police officers, so all three were arrested and will likely be charged with assault.
At the time of publishing, the exact charges for each illegal alien were still pending.
This is not the first time that the shelter at Randall’s Island has seen violent confrontations.
At least two other violent incidents occurred between residents and security personnel or police officers just in the month of February alone.
One incident involved a wild fight that broke out after several NYPD officers tried to remove a man from the facility on February 15.
A dramatic video of the encounter shows police officers brawling with a man in front of a large crowd until onlookers started yelling and throwing objects, and some of them ultimately jumped in.
The video clearly shows that one person hit an officer directly in the head with a backpack.
An illegal alien was also arrested for fighting police officers while he was drunk, as the officers tried to remove him from the shelter on February 4.
In that incident, one officer was treated at a local hospital and released.
The violence isn’t limited to security and police
The recent spate of violence between residents and security guards or law enforcement isn’t the only type of violence occurring at Randall’s Island.
Last month, 24-year-old Dafren Canizalez was knifed to death in the shelter’s cafeteria.
The 27-year-old suspect, Moises Coronado, allegedly stabbed the man on January 6 after the two got into a fight over comments Coronado made about Canizalez’s girlfriend.
Mayor Eric Adams recently spoke out about the February 15 incident, saying, “Do you have bad actors? Yes, and any time you have 3,000 people who are placed in an environment that they cannot work, they have to sit around all day, things like this have the potential to happen.”
“I have to make sure our police department is safe and those residents who are there are also safe,” he continued.
