Democrats are frothing at the mouth to take down Donald Trump.
But things are not going as planned.
And Stormy Daniels might have already blown up Alvin Bragg’s hush money trial.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, one of George Soros’ bankrolled prosecutors, promised to take down Donald Trump when he campaigned for the job.
He could not find a worthwhile case, but he felt pressured to charge something.
Looking for the perfect crime
That’s when Bragg cooked up the bogus falsifying business records charge, claiming Trump misrepresented a payment to Michael Cohen as a legal expense instead of a campaign finance contribution.
The charge is a misdemeanor, but Bragg elevated it to a felony by claiming that the underlying crime was a federal crime.
However, the alleged federal crime would be a campaign finance violation.
The statute of limitations long expired on the state charge, so Bragg is trying legal gymnastics to get a Trump conviction for something.
But Bragg and the Democrats are ignoring the fact that Stormy Daniels, the linchpin of the entire case, is not a credible witness.
Before she went on a media tour and took advantage of the new marketing opportunity, Daniels denied that she ever had an affair with Trump.
Credibility problem
In January 2018, she wrote in an official statement, “Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago. The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 20011 [sic], 2016, 2017 and now again in 2018. I am not denying this affair because I was paid ‘hush money’ as has been reported in overseas owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened. I will have no further comment on this matter.”

Trump said the affair never happened and so did Daniels, which means that there is already reasonable doubt for the underlying alleged crime.
Bragg and the Democrats are essentially hoping that a Manhattan jury and an anti-Trump judge will send Trump down the river on the flimsiest case.
From the Left’s immoral perspective, it is not a bad gamble.
Attorney General Letitia James campaigned on the promise to “get Trump,” then brought the nonsensical fraud lawsuit, and Judge Arthur Engoron was eager to hit Trump with an outrageous $400 million fine.
