Gavin Newsom is hoping to run for President if Joe Biden gets replaced.
But his résumé as Governor of California has been abysmal.
Now Newsom has made an announcement that shows he failed to learn the lesson Ron DeSantis taught Disney.
Residents and businesses are leaving California in droves.
The state had net negative migration for the first time in history in 2020, and the trend has not reversed.
The business and regulatory environment has become toxic, as have pro-crime policies that deter investment and lower quality of life.
Newsom is hellbent on pleasing the Abortion Lobby even if it chases more business out of California
On top of that, Governor Gavin Newsom and the far-Left Democrat supermajority in the State Legislature are passing laws and enacting policies that are destructive.
For instance, Newsom just announced that California would no longer be doing business with Walgreens because the pharmacy would not be providing the abortion pill in 20 states.
California is not even one of the states.
Rather it appears Walgreens witnessed moves made in Republican-controlled states, such as what Ron DeSantis and Florida Republicans did with Disney to make clear that big woke businesses weren’t entitled to special privileges.
So the company is now attempting to comply with potential state laws outside of California and Gavin Newsom doesn’t like it.
Newsom wrote on Twitter, “California won’t be doing business with [Walgreens] — or any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women’s lives at risk. We’re done.”

In light of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs decision, pro-abortion zealots have pushed to make chemical abortions more accessible, even in pro-Life states.
Newsom is virtue-signaling by declaring California will no longer do business with Walgreens.
The Governor’s edict might actually be an attempt to overshadow the fact that many Walgreens stores are leaving the state because of pro-crime policies.
Several stores have already closed down in San Francisco alone due to organized retail theft and criminals being emboldened by George Soros-backed District Attorneys.
Theft under $950 is essentially not prosecuted by DAs, so cops and security guards—who are advised by management to stand down—are powerless to do anything about the crime.
This is what happens when Democrat pro-crime policies run amok.
As for Newsom’s virtue-signaling, it’s his latest attempt to raise his national profile as his own state burns.
Newsom nearly got recalled by the voters because he had done such a poor job, but he thinks he can lead an entire country.
The Democrats are being driven by the hard-Left, and everyone else in the state is being made to suffer.
The fact that Newsom is more interested in virtue-signaling than keeping business in his state shows why so many Californians are leaving for Texas and Florida.
