The open border policy of the Biden Administration has had a disastrous ripple effect.
From violence to drug overdoses and safety concerns, unchecked illegal immigration has led to a host of new problems across the country.
Now New York City inspectors were awe-struck at their discovery in a Queens basement.
Millions of illegal immigrants have arrived in the United States since Joe Biden’s inauguration.
That’s because Biden reversed many of the policies that kept the flow of migration to comparatively modest levels during the Trump administration.
With well over 100,000 new arrivals from foreign nations flocking to the Sanctuary City of New York, local officials have been unable to adequately house them.
That’s led to conditions in makeshift shelters that have become, in many cases, deplorable.
It’s also led to opportunism among unscrupulous actors.
When the FDNY responded to a building due to a complaint about e-bikes in the rear yard they made a shocking discovery.

The Fire Department said that when they arrived, they found forty beds on the ground floor and in the cellar.
Ebou Sarr, the owner of the building, told PIX11 News that he was charging illegal immigrants $300 a month to live in the building.
Sarr says that most of the immigrants are from Senegal and that he was providing them with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
But conditions weren’t nearly as rosy as Sarr seemed to suggest.
In total, 87 people were crammed into the basement.
The Department of Buildings reported that when inspectors arrived, they discovered, “that the first floor commercial space in the building and the cellar had been illegally converted into sleeping quarters, with 14 bunk beds and 13 bed tightly packed on both floors.”
Sarr admitted that there were only two bathrooms available in the building, but says he helpfully gave out memberships to Planet Fitness so the illegal immigrants could shower there.
One immigrant told PIX11 News that the shower situation at the business was better than at the shelters.
A vacate order for the building was issued due to unsafe conditions found in the basement including overcrowding, according to PIX-11.
After multiple fire hazards were discovered, the New York City Emergency Management Department referred people in need of further assistance.
City official: Not enough housing
Maria Torres-Springer, the deputy mayor for housing, said at a press conference about the discovery, “What we discovered last night in some ways is also symptomatic of a larger crisis that this city is facing that we’ve talked about repeatedly in terms of the housing shortage in this city. It is not a new thing that too many people make desperate choices about where to live and what to pay for and at the root of that is the fact that we haven’t built enough housing.”
True enough, but that would only argue in favor of abandoning New York’s “Sanctuary City” policy.
That’s the misguided policy for which New York politicians have sanctimoniously virtue-signaled for decades.
In the end, this incident is just one more example of why the nation’s porous borders must be secured.
