The US government’s promise of free food, housing and healthcare has made the illegal alien problem worse.
And as the numbers continue to skyrocket, progressive sanctuary cities are getting their just desserts.
Now the illegal aliens who invaded New York City have turned one popular neighborhood into a giant toilet.
East Village inundated with human waste
The East Village was once one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in the Big Apple.
But an intake center near the popular Tompkins Square Park is overflowing with illegals who have essentially turned the area into a giant toilet.
Since November, thousands of illegal aliens have been looking for shelter in New York City’s St. Brigid’s School, located on East 7th Street.
Thanks to a limited number of beds, the nearby park has become a place where illegal aliens go to use the bathroom in public.
The city Parks Department just removed three port-a-potties from the park because, according to some locals, they got so disgusting that workers could no longer keep them maintained.
Street cleaner John Cashvan told The New York Post, “There was a cup of what I thought was somebody’s discarded hot chocolate that turned out not to be hot chocolate. On warmer days, it can smell like a toilet over here – and not a well-kept toilet.”
Locals have discovered cups full of urine near the park entrance and the school, as well as human feces located in tree beds and in between parked cars.
Resident Garret Rosso said that most of the illegals “want to pee in plastic cups rather than the ground, and they leave them on people’s doorsteps.”
Rosso said he’s seen around a dozen cups full of urine.
According to The New York Post, one illegal alien peed on a tree, and the southeastern area of the park was full of discarded food and plastic containers when a reporter went to check out the scene.
Another resident, 73-year-old Michael Bartley, said, “I’ve cut this part of the park out of my [daily] walk because of the filth. There’s several thousand people [coming to] this end of the park with no place to use the bathroom.”
“If they’re going to bring them here, [the city should] have some Sanitation people here. Cops are here? Big f—king deal,” he added.
Mayor Adams is getting blamed
Curtis Sliwa, the founder of Guardian Angels, said it’s Mayor Adams’s fault for welcoming illegal aliens to the city with no restrictions or plans in place.
Once the illegals come to New York City, they’re funneled into different neighborhoods that have no idea how to handle the massive influx.
Silwa said, “He’s the swagger man with no plan. Everything he does it’s a knee-jerk reaction no follow-up. What are you doing in the neighborhood to make it easier for them to absorb [the illegal aliens]?”
According to district manager Susan Stetzer, workers got rid of the port-a-potties at Tompkins Square Park because they were trashed “to the point they could not be maintained.”
The portable bathrooms were originally installed to provide restroom facilities to workers while the field house underwent an 18-month renovation.
Now, residents and visitors will just have to live with a lack of facilities while they walk by human urine and feces in New York.
