All across the nation, police officers are being vilified and treated with flagrant disrespect.
This is due to years of anti-cop vitriol that has been spewed out by far-left politicians and activists.
But this Nancy Pelosi hometown pizza shop just dropped the hammer on one disturbing act.
Police officers are not getting the respect they often deserve
There are few jobs that are as deadly and important as being a police officer.
Each and every day men and women in law enforcement risk their lives to protect their communities.
Yet, police officers have been demonized in recent years by the far left, which has led to fewer people than ever choosing to join the force.
A prime example of the disrespect that police officers face on a daily basis just happened in Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) hometown of San Francisco.
Per the San Francisco Police Officers Association, several San Francisco Police officers tried to go to lunch at a pizza shop called Pizza Squared, only to be told by an employee that they were not welcome there.
According to Pizza Squared, the employee was a trainee on his third day of the job, and has since been let go.
Fortunately, Pizza Squared handled this the right way, but this act of prejudice proves just how vicious the Left is towards law enforcement officers.
The fact that a newly hired employee had the guts to turn away potential customers on his third day of the job shows that he must really have a deeply rooted hatred for law enforcement.
This sort of hatred has been fomented by many prominent Leftists such as LeBron James and Rep. Alexandra Ocasio Cortez (D-NY).
Anti-police attitudes are also often taught to children from a young age. In many households and classrooms across America, children are not being taught to respect authority figures, especially police officers.
As a direct result, crime is up, and people disrespect law enforcement now more than ever.
Children must be taught to respect law enforcement officers
The incident at Pizza Squared is only one of many examples of law enforcement officers not being respected in America.
Instead of teaching children to hate America and each other, teachers need to be teaching children from a young age to respect law enforcement.
The lack of respect that many people have towards law enforcement can explain many of the problems plaguing American society these days.
Crime rates are reaching unthinkable levels because many people feel like they do not need to listen to the law or what they are told by law enforcement officers.
Moving forward, parents and educators must prioritize teaching their children to respect authority figures.
