Fringe radicals have become the thought leaders on the Left.
The moderates are terrified to stand up to them.
And a “woke” leftist is trying to pass one infuriating law behind parents’ backs.
Liberals have no defense mechanism against rabid leftists.
If the centrist liberal resists, he or she gets called racist, bigoted, or worse: Republican.
So liberals basically keep their mouths shut and let the radicals do whatever they want.
That’s how it has become standard practice for children to be encouraged to undergo gender “transition.”
And Stephanie Vigil, a state representative in Colorado, sponsored a bill that would allow kids to adopt a new gender identity at school.
Worse yet, school officials would be punished for notifying the parents.
HB24-1039 would require “public schools and institute charter schools (school) to use a student’s preferred name, if a preferred name is requested by the student” and would deem “a school’s refusal to use a student’s preferred name a form of discrimination.”
The bill would also create a “task force in the department of education consisting of 9 members appointed by the department to examine existing school policies and provide recommendations to schools on how to best implement student non-legal name change policies.”
Unsurprisingly, Representative Vigil is a wild leftist who identifies as nonbinary.
In a video message, she explained how she rejects the notion of a traditional nuclear family.
Vigil said, “In American society, we organize our social supports by family, by so-called traditional nuclear family, even. And this is actually a social construct. It’s not as if the natural order of things for all of humanity has been, you know, one mommy and one daddy and just their biological children living in a detached house and only providing for those children. I had a disagreement with a gentleman recently about education policy based around this issue…where he said that he really believes that competition between schools like they’re businesses is the best way to go. And I said, ‘Okay, well, I’ll roll with that for a minute. If they’re businesses, who’s the customer here?’ And he said, ‘Well, it’s the parents.’ I said, ‘Yeah, but the kids are the ones getting the education, right?’ The parents already have one. Usually when we’re talking about a business and its customers, the customer is the person receiving the goods and services. So this isn’t adding up. And this is why I say that we have public schools for a reason, so that they’ll function as a public good and not just as a private commodity. Children actually need more than just their parents. they need a whole village. If all of your support and opportunity only comes from family, then it’s only going to be concentrated in families and then that’s who’s going to have all the power. Let’s elect more poor people and level the playing field.”
This is nonbinary Colorado State Rep Stephanie Vigil. She doesn’t believe in the nuclear family and think parents shouldn’t have full say over their kids.

Her argument about public schools is nonsensical.
Parents are responsible for their children, thus they are the ones making decisions about schools.
By her logic, newborn babies are the consumers of diapers.
Leftists want control of other people’s kids.
If they lose the power to indoctrinate, leftism withers away.
