Democrat-run states are growing more radical by the minute.
Far-Left ideas are being promoted by politicians and institutions.
Now controversy has erupted over an HRC National Day of Reading event that will leave parents furious.
The radical idea that males can become females and vice versa has taken root and spread throughout American culture.
As is the case with so many bad left-wing ideas, it began in the universities and trickled its way down.
Now school districts are mainlining radical gender theory into K-12.
Human Rights Coalition and LA Schools are partnering for a National Day of Reading
Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) hosted a virtual book reading event for sixth graders with books that “affirm transgender and non-binary youth” as part of National Day of Reading.
The National Day of Reading is organized by the Human Rights Coalition (HRC), a nonprofit that pushes transgender advocacy.
The event, Jazz & Friends National Day of School and Community Readings, is named after Jazz Jennings, an activist who rose to fame after being “transitioned” as a young child.
Jennings experienced complications from transgender surgery, suffered depression, and developed an eating disorder; Jennings put on 100 pounds.
And this is what LAUSD is affirming.
Included in the event and the HRC’s National Day of Reading Toolkit was a book called “Red,” a children’s book about a blue crayon that is told by its family and friends that it’s actually red.
Of course, the message of the book is 180 degrees from the truth.
The crayon is red, but has deluded itself that it is blue.
Other books promoted similar messaging, such as “When Aidan Became a Brother,” a book about a young girl who identifies as a boy.
One of the toolkit activists read as such: “What names would you choose to pick from for a new baby? We think of many names as ‘boy names’ and ‘girl names,’ but that doesn’t include all the genders that people can be. Make a list of names that you would like for a baby who might be a boy, girl, both or neither.”
This is what young kids are being taught in schools today.
In some instances, kids are even being “transitioned” behind their parents’ backs.
That was the impetus for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to pass the Parental Rights in Education Act.
It is now more important than ever for parents to run for school boards and push back against the radical indoctrination.
