The elections this year did not go how many conservatives had hoped.
Not only did some Republicans underperform, but also Democrats were able to pass a slew of extreme ballot measures.
But now, a major gun grab just received a major blow in this blue state.
Conservatives must turn to the courts to defend their freedom
Despite rumors of a major red wave, Republicans were unable to take the Senate and won much fewer house seats than expected.
However, one of the most damaging aspects of the Midterms was the slew of extreme ballot measures that were approved by voters in many blue states.
One of the most extreme ballot measures that passed on Election Day was Oregon’s Ballot Measure 114.
Ballot Measure 114 is an extreme anti-gun bill that places a statewide ban on magazines with 10 ten or more rounds as well as implementing a fee of $65 as well as mandates to submit fingerprints and pass a gun safety course for anybody who wishes to own a gun of any sort.
The measure passed by an extremely thin margin of 50.9% for and 49.1% against.
The measure was scheduled to take effect on December 8, 2022, and is widely regarded as one of the most extreme gun laws ever voted on in the
United States.
However, Oregon gun owners can breathe a temporary sigh of relief after the courts just gave B.M. 114 a devastating blow.
As a result of a challenge brought by the pro-Second Amendment group Gun Owners of America, Circuit Court Judge Richard S. Raschio issued a temporary restraining order on B.M. 114.
Although this is a temporary measure, it is a major step in the right direction.
This restraining order will allow the courts to give this flagrantly anti-constitutional ballot measure a closer look.
Having said that, it should not take long for any semi-competent judge to see how horrible and illegal this measure is.
Oregon’s Ballot Measure 114 is just the beginning
The scary news is that Oregon’s extreme Ballot Measure 114 is just the beginning of the left’s crusade to take guns away from law-abiding Americans.
Make no mistake, what Democrats are trying to do in Oregon is what they want to do in the rest of America.
In order to prevent gun grabs like this from spreading across the nation, pro-second amendment Americans must fight back every step of the way.
What the radical left does not realize is that the second amendment is not a suggestion. It is one of America’s most cherished values and represents a right that is given to people by God, not the government.
Moving forward, concerned Americans and pro-gun groups must insure that a measure like Ballot Measure 114 never gets approved ever again.
