Centrist liberals are getting bludgeoned by radical leftists.
The crazies are now enforcing their far-left social agenda.
And Democrats just removed one professional requirement that will have jaw-dropping consequences.
The “woke” religion of Progressivism has become the dominant ideology on the Left.
And their trinity is diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI), which intentionally translates to “god” in Latin.
DEI strikes again
The latest instance of DEI striking happened in Washington state where officials dropped the requirement for the bar exam.
Washington Courts stated in a press release that the “Washington Supreme Court today filed a pair of Supreme Court Orders approving alternative pathways to lawyer licensure. This will be the first time in state history that the lawyer admissions rules do not necessitate some form of bar exam to demonstrate competency to earn a law license. . . Washington’s Supreme Court joins only Oregon in officially approving alternatives to the bar exam.”
Leave it to two of the most loony-left states to scrap the bar exam in obedience to DEI.
More activists
Washington Supreme Court Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis explained, “These recommendations come from a diverse body of lawyers in private and public practice, academics, and researchers who contributed immense insight, counterpoints and research to get us where we are today.”
In other words, a bunch of left-wing activists got together and decided they needed to lower the bar, literally, in order to employ more left-wing activists.
Montoya-Lewis added, “With these alternative pathways, we recognize that there are multiple ways to ensure a competent, licensed body of new attorneys who are so desperately needed around the state.”
In lieu of the bar exam, lawyers can serve in an apprenticeship role in order to become certified in the state of Washington.
Seattle University Law School Dean Anthony Varona said, “I am delighted but not surprised that the Washington Supreme Court has adopted the Task Force’s recommendations. We are fortunate in Washington to have a Supreme Court that time after time has used innovative approaches to correct injustice and expand the law and legal services to meet the needs of the underserved and marginalized.”
Lawyers have been passing the bar exam for centuries in the United States, but now the rules must be changed.
If anything, the legal profession is currently oversaturated.
This is just the latest example of the radical leftists going overboard in pursuit of their “woke” agenda.
The people who need competent legal representation but can’t get it are the ones who will suffer.
