It’s always good practice for teenagers to learn that actions have consequences.
But there really aren’t any lessons learned if the consequences can be easily shrugged off.
And two teens in Gavin Newsom’s state shocked everyone who saw the stunning video of their vandalism.
The Intuit Dome is the future home of the Clippers in Inglewood.
It’s a billion-dollar NBA arena that is now under construction and off-limits to the public.
But that didn’t stop two teenagers from taking it upon themselves to climb ladders over walls to get into the facility and even shoot hoops on the court that was still covered in dust.
They even uploaded video evidence of their actions to social media.
The video shows one teen wearing LA Lakers pajamas and crocks using work buckets to attempt a slam dunk.
Then, he sprayed a fire extinguisher at the hoop.
The pair then climbed onto the roof and posed for the camera.

In just three days, the video shared by a user called “shawty_grandmaa” garnered over 164,000 views on social media.
This account has previously posted videos of the same pair sneaking into the SoFi Stadium, also in Inglewood, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
In an exchange posted last year, the reasons why the youths have been so fearless can be seen.
Responding to a video of the teens hopping over a barrier and running onto the field during a soccer game between Arsenal and Barcelona, one commenter asked, “You didn’t get fined or nothing?”
Youth vandal: “Naw [no fine]. Since I’m under 18 my parents just had to pick me up.”
The TikToker answered, “Naw since I’m under 18 my parents just had to pick me up and they just said if I come back ima really get arrested.”
That pretty much says it all.
Inglewood Mayor James E. Butts says that he has since identified the teenagers and their parents.
The mayor told ABC-7, “It will be very clear to these young men — and to people who are TikTok followers — that you have a moment of TikTok greatness followed by a little bit of misery. And so we don’t play around with these things.”
He added, “When you have construction sites, they’re nuisances and they attract kids and they attract people who wants to steal tools. The fact of the matter is, that’s what happens when you build a major project.”
As a result of the criminal behavior, Butts says that security will be “bumped” up at the privately funded arena, adding, “What’s going to happen is they’re going to increase the off-construction hour times security.”
Trespassing is a misdemeanor in California, potentially carrying up to 6 months in county jail and a fine of up to $1,000, but it remains to be seen whether the teenagers would be charged.
What is clear is that the teens never expected any real consequences for their unwelcome break-in.
Until that changes, locals should expect more of the same activity.
