Under Joe Biden’s watch, the prices of most goods and services have skyrocketed, with no end in sight.
As a result, many working Americans have a hard time making ends meet.
And San Francisco residents are fed up after this local staple skyrockets in price.
Eating out has become too expensive for many Americans, especially in urban centers
For many Americans, cooking at home saves them and their families significant amounts of money.
However, for those who commute, having affordable and quick lunch options makes the workweek simpler and more flavorful.
Under Joe Biden’s watch, nearly everything has gotten more expensive, including food. And, in San Francisco, people have learned this the hard way after a local favorite hiked up their prices.
Prices have gone up all over the nation, with nearly every restaurant raising their prices, however, when the La Vaca Birria in the Mission district doubled the price of a burrito from $11 to $22, locals quickly took note.
Ricardo Lopez, owner of La Vaca Birria, spoke out about the price hikes to NBC news, citing the rising cost of onions as just one reason behind the drastic increases.
Per Lopez, “Before COVID, they were like $9 a sack at Restaurant Depot, I used to pick them up. During COVID, and after, it was $40 dollars. Right now, it’s $80.”
He also cited labor costs as a primary driver for price hikes, adding “The food that you make in your pueblo back in Mexico, it’s very labor intensive. And the only way you get that here is at those fine dining restaurants, doing everything from scratch.”
On Monday, CNBC addressed the rising cost of goods, writing, “If you look at cumulative inflation since January 2021, when Biden took office, the rate of CPI price growth is 18%. That comes out to a yearly average of 6% — again, well above the Fed’s target of 2%.”
Furthermore, researchers have found that consumers do not expect a respite from these rising prices anytime soon.
A recent study from Purdue University found that, “Most U.S. consumers surveyed in February 2024 predicted that they would see an increase in food prices over the next 12 months. Sixty-four percent of respondents predict food prices to rise in the next year, and the average predicted increase is 3.7%, according to the February Consumer Food Insights Report.”
Joe Biden and his cronies are completely out of touch with the American public
Joe Biden and his cronies have hit the campaign trail, and touting their economic record remains a top priority.
As many Americans struggle to keep up with inflation, Joe Biden has declared victory, telling Americans that so-called “Bidenomics” has helped them and that they should be more grateful. Predictably, many Americans do not appreciate this tone, which many political experts attribute to Joe Biden’s rock-bottom approval ratings.
