One high-profile leftist has been at the top of the headlines a lot recently, and none of the news has been very good.
Whether he’s lamenting that convicts can’t vote while incarcerated or complaining about the inherent racism of our national parks, this guy’s batty ideology is truly out there.
Now a stunning new revelation shows the Wisconsin Democrat Senate candidate’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Radical Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes’ Senate campaign is facing sharp criticism for spending a large amount on security after calling to defund the police.
“Outrageous and unprecedented”
Incumbent Senator Ron Johnson’s (R-WI) campaign spokesperson, Alec Zimmerman called the news “Outrageous and unprecedented.”
That’s probably true for most Americans, but among the far-Left the idea is to defund the cops for those who need police protection, but not for important people like them.
And it is all the rage.
Lunatic Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) has faced criticism for exactly the same reason over the past year, and there are others of similar mindset.
Johnson is defending his seat from Mandela and a leftist onslaught in a state that Joe Biden was declared to have won by a scant fraction of a percentage point amidst voting irregularities in the 2020 election.
Daniel Bice from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports, “Barnes has averaged more than 13½ hours of security protection a day — including weekdays, weekends and holidays — at a daily cost to the state of $660 for patrol officers’ wages. That’s more than 10 times the number of hours as his predecessor.”
Barnes’ “own Uber service” paid for by taxpayers
Zimmerman criticized Barnes for being hypocritical and using “the State Patrol as his own Uber service” after he previously said that “over-bloated” police departments should be defunded.

Now, Barnes is trying to tell Wisconsinites not to trust their lying eyes.
On Tuesday, he released a TV ad claiming he did not support the crazy policies he supported, like defunding police and abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Murders in Wisconsin increased 62 percent, and violent crime rose 8.85 percent between 2019 and 2020 and Barnes’ preferred policies would most adversely affect the most vulnerable of communities.
Barnes’ menu of radical policies includes supporting the Green New Deal, pushing for abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), permitting driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants, and giving in-state college tuition to illegal immigrants.
Wisconsinites’ choice in November couldn’t be clearer, provided that the voters get the full picture of just how out of touch their Lt. Governor really is.
Let’s hope that the remaining months of the campaign ensure that happens.
