The city of Los Angeles has transformed into one of America’s most crime-ridden and chaos-driven cities.
The Democrats in charge have made it their mission to make it easier than ever to commit crimes and get away with it.
But legal experts were floored after these allegations against George Gascon emerged.
This bold intimidation tactic has made headlines all across the nation
Los Angeles has descended into a state of unmitigated chaos as a result of elected officials refusing to uphold the law in recent years.
At the forefront of this lawlessness sits George Gascon, the District Attorney for Los Angeles, who has faced criticism for his alleged soft-on-crime approach.
Theft and violence have both skyrocketed recently.
However, street racing and street takeovers in particular have risen to the forefront of the crime debate in LA.
Prosecutor Tatiana Chahoian recently blew the whistle on a memo issued by Gascon regarding the issue, which seems to downplay the significance of LA’s street racing problem.
However, what happened next sent shockwaves all across the nation.
According to Chahoian, who spoke to Fox News Digital about the matter, Gascon sent plainclothes officers to appear at her private residence to drop off letters that reprimanded Chahoian.
She then told Fox News Digital, “There was absolutely no necessity nor reasonableness in that approach,” adding, “It was purely an intimidation tactic, particularly to someone such as myself who is working remotely due to a medical accommodation.”
Neama Rahmani, a Los Angeles trial attorney and former federal prosecutor, also spoke out to Fox News Digital on the matter saying, “It’s ridiculous for Gascón to personally serve a Deputy DA with a letter saying they violated a personnel policy.”
She added, “It’s something that should be handled via email and gives the appearance that he did so to intimidate or otherwise send a message to a subordinate.”
Spokeswoman Venusse Dunn from Gascon’s office reached out to Fox News Digital regarding the matter saying, “We cannot comment on specific personnel matters.”
She added, “Saying that, honesty is critically important to any prosecutor’s office. Addressing false claims made by district attorney staff or the media is a fundamental responsibility of this office. Failure to do so fuels distrust in the important work we do every day, undermining our duty to the public and to justice.”
George Gascon just proved that playing politics comes before keeping LA safe
Instead of protecting the people of Los Angeles, George Gascon and his cronies have found new and creative ways to let criminals run wild through the streets of LA.
Instead of using valuable resources to crack down on dangerous crimes like street takeovers and drag racing, Gascon has opted to scare and intimidate anybody who dares to oppose him.
As it stands, votes are being counted in Gascon’s reelection race.
And as of Wednesday, Gascon leads despite having just 22% of the vote in a crowded field and has sealed a spot in November’s runoff.
