Joe Biden’s immigration policies have been a disaster.
Even Democrats are beginning to panic.
But a far-left councilwoman defended Biden’s border crisis with one insane proposal.
Democrats virtue-signaled about being “sanctuary” jurisdictions when the illegal alien crisis was confined to red states on the border.
But now that northern Democrat strongholds are under the gun, leaders are changing their tune.
However, there are still some hardcore leftists that refuse to address the problem at the source: the border.
Boston City Councilwoman Julia Mejia wants other towns around the “sanctuary” of Boston to pick up the slack and help house migrants.
Mejia called for “Dedham, Wellesley, Brookline, you know, cities and towns that have so much more resources than the city of Boston” to chip in.
It turns out that thousands of people showing up every month is a serious problem.
She added, “I think everybody needs to start opening up their doors because this is a shared responsibility.”
A local Boston news report on the issue argued, “Controversy over the placement of surging immigrants comes as a new report links immigrants who settle in Massachusetts to economic benefits for the region.”
This has been the argument of open borders advocates in the establishment of both parties.
A surplus of low-skill illegal alien workers allows for employers to keep labor costs lower, which can make prices more competitive.
Immigrants are also consumers, so they buy goods and services.
However, while illegal immigration might benefit some, it hurts Americans competing for the same jobs and stops wages from raising organically.
Illegal aliens also take out more resources than what they contribute.
There is also the downstream political calculation, which is why the Left abandoned their old opposition to illegal immigration on labor grounds.

Americans in Democrat cities, particularly black and Hispanic Americans, are beginning to push back on the open borders policies of the Democrats.
In Boston, a community center in the predominantly black neighborhood of Roxbury was shut down and converted into a migrant processing center.
All Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey could think to do was cry about the situation instead of putting pressure on her fellow Democrats to do something about the border.
Healey said, “I’m emotional guys, okay? Because I’m committed to this. Little kids need to be able to breathe clean air. They need to be able to access swimming pools. They need to have lifeguards there who can teach them how to swim. And they need to have activities. I don’t know what we’re gonna do for a couple, three months. I’ll call universities. I’ll call other places.”
Healey will call everyone except the White House.
