Princeton University is viewed as one of the more prestigious institutions of higher education taking advantage of taxpayers and naive, impressionable students today.
With over $37 billion in its endowment, the Ivy League school still goes out of its way to spit in taxpayers’ eyes.
And the far-Left NJ university just hosted one event out of spite that will leave you red with rage.
Far-Left NJ University shows how far gone it is when marking Constitution Day
For over two hundred years the U.S. Constitution has served as the framework for our constitutional republic, and it has passed the test of time as a guiding force, making the United States of America the freest and most prosperous country on earth.
Everything the radical left touches is made so much worse, but that doesn’t stop them.
Princeton University decided to mark the anniversary of the U.S. Constitution’s signing in September with an event featuring a panel of academics who spent 90 minutes deriding the country’s founding document as “a tool of geopolitical gaslighting” that “furthers a racial crisis and a democratic crisis.”
At this point this kind of behavior at a “prestigious” University is a lot less shocking than it is eye roll-inducing.
The event was called “Citizenship and Its Discontents in Our Evolving Democratic Republic” and aimed to be a “a public occasion to consider the Constitution and its lived implications throughout United States history.”
Not surprisingly, the assembled panelists seemed to take a negative view of said implications.
Sociology professor Patricia Fernández-Kelly moderated the panel and said, “There is a debate in this country as to whether the Constitution should be abolished. The Constitution doesn’t provide an aspirational program to fulfill.”
Apparently, it never dawned on the hyphenated panel host that perhaps this is a feature and not a bug.
Henry David Thoreau said, “Government is best which governs least, and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically.”
Perhaps it’s better left to the individual to fulfill one’s own aspirational programs.
Professor should be ashamed for what students and taxpayers are charged for studies in her useless field
Rhacel Salazar Parreñas, a professor of gender and sexuality studies at the University of Southern California, described the Constitution as “a tool of geopolitical gaslighting.”
Political analyst Rich Benjamin then argued that “the fact and the dogma of the Constitution” have caused a “racial crisis and a democratic crisis.”
Princeton, a university that receives federal funds, is required to host an annual event marking Constitution Day that includes “an educational program about the U.S. Constitution for its students” by the Department of Education.
It’s obvious that this is a gross bastardization of the original intent of that requirement.
Every semester, institutions of “higher learning” churn out graduates of indoctrinated Marxists and this is a prime example of why this is occurring.
If the politicians who want to see this country remain a force for freedom, prosperity and goodness don’t recognize and take steps to reverse the cultural revolution happening in schools, there might not be much of a country left for the next generation.
