Democrat politicians can get away with a lot.
But there are limits.
And one corrupt Democrat mayor just got some news that ruined her day.
The walls appear to be closing in on “Super Mayor” Tiffany Henyard.
Henyard, who is the mayor of Dolton in the Chicago suburbs, was served with subpoenas by the FBI amid mounting corruption allegations.
FBI investigation
FOX 32 Chicago reported that “[f]our agents from the FBI paid a visit to Dolton. . .They served two federal subpoenas. The first one was for employment records, personnel files, and disciplinary reports for 25 Dolton employees, including three police officers and Keith Freeman. Freeman, who is the village administrator, was charged with bankruptcy fraud. . .”
Henyard allegedly used taxpayer funds to go on lavish vacations to destinations like Las Vegas.
When called out for alleged misconduct, Henyard chastised fellow black members of the Dolton government for not supporting her.
She shouted, “Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves because y’all are black. Y’all are black and y’all [are] sitting up here beating and attacking a black woman that’s in power. . .Y’all forget I’m the leader. They want to hear from the mayor. . .You ain’t learned that yet. . .The mayor — not the trustees that don’t do nothing. They only run they mouth. Y’all don’t do no work! No work!”
The FBI confirmed the investigation and wrote in a statement, “I can confirm that the FBI was conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity in that area today. Department of Justice policy prevents the FBI from commenting on the nature of any investigation that may be occurring. There is no further information available for release at this time.”
Other city officials had reportedly been begging law enforcement to look into Henyard’s behavior.
Dolton trustee Tammie Brown said, “Months and months and months, we have been begging for someone to come out here and actually investigate as to what’s actually going on out here.”
Brazen corruption
Former CNN host Roland Martin recently brought on Henyard for a softball interview, and after he was ripped up and down for not asking her obvious questions, Martin later did a deep dive.
Martin originally asked Henyard about a fraudulent charity in her name.
She responded, “So someone made up a foundation. They named it after me, and they like my work that I do in the community. And it’s called Tiffany Henyard Cares.”
Martin interrupted, “But they weren’t registered. Have you contacted them and told them, ‘you can’t use my name improperly’?”
Henyard replied, “Well, my lawyer’s handling a lot of that stuff, so all I can tell you is that I’m not the one on anything.”
After the interview, Martin discovered that Henyard publicly announced Tiffany Henyard Cares as her own charity.
Needless to say, the Super Mayor is probably going to need some super lawyers.
