One company just fled New York after the insane ruling against Donald Trump

Donald Trump has been the target of jaw-dropping lawfare.

Businesses took notice of the witch hunts against Trump for political reasons.

And one company just fled New York after the insane ruling against Donald Trump.

After more than two centuries, gun manufacturer Remington is leaving the state of New York.

The company is moving its operations from the small town of Ilion to Georgia.

The relocation had been in the works for a while because of New York Democrats’ growing hostility toward gun manufacturers.

But it’s symbolic that the move was announced after Donald Trump was hit with an outrageous $355 million fine by Democrat Judge Arthur Engoron.

New York Attorney General Letitia James vowed to “get Trump,” and since she could not find any criminal statutes, she filed a nonsensical civil lawsuit for fraud.

James contended that Trump committed fraud by inflating the value of his properties in order to receive more favorable loans from banks.

However, banks do their own due diligence and assess whether or not they want to issue a loan.

In this case, Trump paid back the loan with interest, and the bank said that it wanted to do business with Trump in the future.

In other words, there was no injured party, but that did not matter to James and the other Democrat activists who are frothing at the mouth to take down Trump no matter what.

Governor Kathy Hochul performed damage control mode and tried to assure businesses that the fine against Trump was a one-off.

But Democrats have shown that they lack impulse control when it comes to political persecution.

They have escalated their attacks on gun owners, gun manufacturers, and credit card companies that allow gun purchases.

All it would take is one ideologically possessed attorney general, like Letitia James, to go after a gun company like Remington with an absurd novel legal theory.

Remington CEO Ken D’Arcy explained, “We are deeply saddened by the closing of this historic facility…But maintaining and operating those very old buildings is cost prohibitive. And New York State’s legislative environment remains a major concern for our industry…We are very excited to come to Georgia, a state that not only welcomes business but enthusiastically supports and welcomes companies in the firearms industry…Everyone involved in this process has shown how important business is to the state and how welcoming they are to all business, including the firearms industry.”

Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik was more blunt in her criticisms of anti-2A policies in the state.

Stefanik said in November 2023, “It is because of New York Democrats’ unconstitutional gun grab policies that the oldest gun manufacturer in the country has been run out of the state.”

Unhinged Democrats are going to scare off even more businesses as more time passes.
