As the famous song goes “I fought the law and the law won.”
Many criminals have learned this the hard way as the law almost always catches up to you one way or another.
And one viral video shows this wild high-speed chase ending in chaos.
This crazed driver just risked his life in a wild car chase to avoid the law
Nothing gets the heart pumping quite like a televised car chase. After all, most people can remember where they were when O.J. Simpson and his friend A.C. fled in their infamous white Bronco.
Although many car chases start in a wild and exciting fashion, most end in chaos and disaster.
On Monday afternoon, a wild high-speed chase occurred in Massachusetts after state troopers attempted to pull over a suspect allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.
According to officials, law enforcement officers were notified of a stolen 2022 Lexus IS in Peabody, Massachusetts, prompting a manhunt.
After officers discovered the suspect in the stolen vehicle later that day, the suspect took off in the vehicle, barreling towards the ever-busy 495 freeway.
According to Boston’s WCVB 5, “Troopers set up a tire deflation device on the westbound side of I-290 westbound between Solomon Pond Road in Marlborough and Green Street in Northborough. After striking the device, the car swerved, lost control and skidded off the road, into a median, on I-290 near Green Street in Northborough.”
Video footage shows the car spinning out, and crashing into a ditch on the side of the road.
Adding, “Troopers following the pursuit stopped quickly and emerged with their weapons drawn. Three people were taken into custody on the grass of the median. Two were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The third suspect, a juvenile, was taken to the State Police-Leominster Barracks for booking.”
The owner of the stolen Lexus spoke out to WCVB 5, saying “Obviously, I was upset but there’s really nothing I could do. It wasn’t in my control.”
He then said that he used the vehicle’s built-in GPS system to track the stolen car, adding, “It was going everywhere. They went to Burger King. I saw receipts in the car. They went to Burger King, and McDonald’s. They had a good time.”
Car thefts such as this one have skyrocketed all across America
All across America, car thefts have become routine, with young people jacking cars and crashing them for sport.
The so-called “Kia Boys” for example, which have informal chapters across the nation, have made headlines for jacking Kias among other easily stealable cars, only to crash them moments later.
These crimes can wreak havoc on the owners, putting them out of a job, or causing them and their families severe economic hardships.
