Social norms have been changing over the last several years in the wake of a relentless push from the Left.
Most people take a “live and let live” approach – but more and more, citizens are speaking up as radicals push beyond their tolerance.
Now LGBT activists are pushing things further with this outrageous action.
One school district in Wisconsin has decided that elementary school students need to be subjected to propaganda by radical activists.
The Madison Metropolitan School District has implemented a weeklong gender identity and sexual orientation lesson.
It’s all part of “Health and Social Emotional Learning” and is purportedly going to teach about the difference between gender identity, sex assigned at birth and sexual orientation.
The euphemism for the brainwashing is called “Welcoming Schools,” and is in fact a LGBTQ training and school program created by the radical left Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRCF).
According to an email, “The goal is for students to understand the difference between gender, sexual orientation and sex assigned at birth. Students are NOT being asked to share their specific identities for each of these components, rather just acknowledging that they exist and are different and how to show respect for all identities.”
A gender “snowperson”
The introduction video described gender identity, sexual orientation and sex assigned at birth using a “gender snowperson” to showcase inclusivity.
This is not exactly the kind of material that is needed for eight-year-olds to prepare themselves for adolescence.
According to the HRCF website, “The Welcoming Schools project focuses on creating gender inclusive schools through lessons and professional development training programs. Lessons will include read-alouds and classroom discussions surrounding gender identity, sex assigned at birth and sexual orientation The week concludes with a rainbow day.”
Naturally, not everyone is looking at this through rainbow-colored glasses.
Parents have complained about what they say is inappropriate sex education for elementary school children, particularly in a school district in which many students are testing below grade level in core subjects like math, science and Language Arts.
“students go to school to learn, not to be indoctrinated by political activists.”
“Students go to school to learn, not to be indoctrinated by political activists”
Cory Brewer, associate counsel at the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, says, “Parents should remain vigilant and engaged with their local school districts, many of which do not hesitate to persuade students to a particular point of view. And importantly, our state law requires schools to teach topics that are medically accurate and age appropriate. It should not be controversial to suggest that students go to school to learn, not to be indoctrinated by political activists.”
Conservatives have warned for years that the kind of cultural decadence associated with the LGBT movement would eventually lead down uncomfortable and unhealthy paths if there wasn’t pushback against truly objectionable actions by politicians who claim to speak for their constituents.
But there hasn’t been the political will or courage, and now kids are getting LGBT propaganda in public schools directed at their young, impressionable minds.
The only way to put a stop to this is for parents to shine the light on what’s being taught, actively oppose it, let other parents know about it and then collectively push back against the actions of these radical school boards.
