Over the years, Democrats have declared an all-out war on law enforcement.

Police departments have seen their funding slashed, and criminals are now more free than ever to run wild and commit crimes.

But this sheriff just dropped a truth bomb on Lori Lightfoot and weirdo Governor J.B. Pritzker.

Democrats are the party of crime and disorder

Following the death of career criminal George Floyd in 2020, many Democrat-controlled cities and states went off the deep end.

Not only were these communities engulfed in riots, but then Democrat lawmakers appeased these street thugs with one radical pro-crime policy after another.

Defunding the police, implementing cashless bail, and restricting the power of law enforcement officers were all common policies passed on these Democrat-controlled areas.

But one of the most extreme laws to be passed is the so-called “SAFE-T Act” in Illinois.

This bill which took effect on January 1 stands for the Illinois’ Safety, Accountability, Fairness and Equity-Today Act.

But make no mistake, there is nothing safe about this trainwreck of a bill.

In a nutshell, this law makes it virtually impossible to hold violent criminals accountable.

According to Fox News, this bill includes provisions “limiting when defendants can be deemed flight risks, allowing defendants under electronic monitoring to leave home for 48 hours before they can be charged with escape, and preventing police from arresting non-violent trespassers.”

The good news is, as Blue State Blues reported, one of the most dangerous parts of the bill which eliminated cash bail was halted by the Illinois Judge who ruled it unconstitutional.

The Illinois Supreme Court issued a stay at the last minute on Saturday and will determine whether or not to uphold the lower court’s ruling.

Still plenty to worry about in “America’s most dangerous law” Sheriff says

This newly enacted law has received bipartisan criticism across the state.

But one Illinois sheriff says there is still plenty to worry about in the SAFE-T Act – “America’s most dangerous law.”

Franklin County, IL Sheriff Kyle Bacon is one of the so-called SAFE-T Act’s most outspoken opponents .

Just the other day, Sheriff Kyle Bacon went on Fox News to tell America just how awful this bill is.

According to Sheriff Bacon, “there’s not a drug offense other than one involving a firearm or a high-level drug offense that is detainable. It’s a snowball effect if the drug issue leads to these deaths and burglaries that we experience.”

Bacon went on to say, “They are a struggle for rural departments to keep up with. Simply booking someone and sending them out before they’re even sober, I don’t see a great benefit. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s concerning.”

These are extremely alarming words to be hearing from a law enforcement professional.

The scary thing is, most Democrats like Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and weirdo Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker want nothing more than to implement this horrible law nationwide.

Doing so would be a complete and total disaster, and would only go to help criminals commit more crimes.

Law abiding citizens are paying a steep price for these pro-crime laws, and it is about time that they say enough is enough.
