The dirty local politics behind the latest attempt to throw Donald Trump in jail is starting to come out.
But a blue state effort to gain political points may have just backfired in a big way.
And this Georgia prosecutor just put herself in Chairman Jordan’s sights after one insanely bold campaign claim.
Democrats have been working hard to weaponize the justice system in an all-out effort to knock Donald Trump out of running for President in 2024.
The latest—and most dramatic—effort to turn Donald Trump into a criminal was facilitated by Georgia’s Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis.
She pulled out the big guns using the provisions of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to go after the former president and 18 of his colleagues over claims they tried to interfere in the 2020 presidential election.
But now information is coming out indicating that Willis hasn’t been as subtle as you’d expect when she leveraged the power of her office for political gain.
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan recently fired off a letter to Willis questioning her timing and methods.
Blue state prosecutor slammed by Judiciary Chairman
In the missive, Jordan told Willis that “Your indictment and prosecution implicate substantial federal interests, and the circumstances surrounding your actions raise serious concerns about whether they are politically motivated.”
Jordan then went on to explain how only four days before Trump’s indictment Willis positioned herself to benefit from that move by launching a new campaign fundraising website that just happened to highlight her “investigation” into Trump.
And that wasn’t the only sketchy thing about the situation.
According to Jordan, something was seriously off with the grand jury used to indict Trump and 18 other Republicans.
“The forewoman of the special grand jury you convened to investigate President Trump earlier this year bragged during an unusual media tour about her excitement at the prospect of subpoenaing President Trump and getting to swear him in,” Jordan wrote.
Previously sanctioned for the appearance of conflict in prosecution against Georgia Lt. Gov.
Willis has already been prohibited from prosecuting the current Georgia Lieutenant Governor due to her political activism.
Jordan is also suspicious that Willis may have been working with members of the Biden regime in order to target the current president’s biggest political opponent along with numerous key supporters.
“There are questions about whether and how your office coordinated with DO Special Counsel Jack Smith during the course of this investigation, and Congress has an interest in any such activity that involves federal law enforcement agencies and officials that fall under its oversight,” Jordan wrote.
Democrats thought they could get away with almost anything, but Jordan is indicating that Willis may have dug herself into a hole.
Jordan ordered the prosecutor to cough up all kinds of documentation dating all the way back to January 1, 2021.
No doubt that will include plenty of information Democrats would rather keep under wraps.
