After years of Democrats ramming through pro-crime policies, America is experiencing a crime surge the likes of which have not been seen in recent memory.
Defunding the police, as well as so-called bail reform has made most communities in America significantly less safe.
But now, this crime-plagued city is putting a hold on their ridiculous new crime policy.
Blue States and Democrat-controlled cities are proving they have no idea how to control crime
When it comes to out-of-control crime, the solution is actually pretty simple.
Hiring more police officers and giving them the resources they need to tackle crime will almost always reduce crime. Not exactly rocket science.
However, Democrats have a loathing for the police, which makes any crime solution they introduce flawed and at times insane.
One of the most insane attempts to get a grip on crime just came from San Francisco, which is seeing one of the nation’s most significant crime surges after years of passing pro-crime policies.
Last week, the “geniuses” that run the City of San Francisco voted to permit the use of “Killer Robots”.
These robots are similar to bomb robots, however, these robots would be allowed to use deadly force in the form of explosives.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, these robots would “only be used as a deadly force option when risk of loss of life to members of the public or officers is imminent and outweighs any other force option available to SFPD.”
Understandably, the citizens of San Francisco were both confused and outraged by this policy, which is straight out of an 80’s B movie.
So after a week of protests and outcry from the public, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to reverse this policy for now.
It is unclear whether this policy will be reinstated in the future, but for now, it does not look like killer robots will be roaming the streets of San Francisco anytime soon.
San Francisco is missing the mark when it comes to crime
The good news is, the previous vote to approve killer robots proves that the San Francisco Board of Supervisors recognizes that there is a crime problem, which many Democrats fail to even acknowledge.
However, killer robots as well as the slew of other measures they have passed relating to crime completely miss the mark.
The solution to San Francisco’s crime problem is not very difficult to figure out.
San Francisco needs more police officers who can actually do their job.
As it stands, officers in San Francisco are strapped for resources, and even if they are able to arrest criminals, these criminals are often released with nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
Equipping police officers with the tools and funding they need along with reversing San Francisco’s pro-crime bail policies is where San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors should begin if they are actually serious about stopping crime.
