Democrats have relied on government-run schools to indoctrinate and train the next generation of Leftist activists for decades.
Parents finally saw the woke propaganda firsthand during the pandemic when they were hands-on in assisting their children’s school work from home.
Now one blue state teacher just gave parents another reason to yank children out of government-run schools.
Teachers’ unions across the country force all educators to pay union dues for the privilege of employment.
They then turn around and donate those dues dollars to help elect Democrat candidates for elected office.
Those Democrats then block any common sense education reforms – like school choice, for example – that would offer better education opportunities to American students.
It’s a vicious cycle that is deteriorating the quality and reliability of the American education system.
Government school systems are now going so far, they’re literally putting children in danger at the hands of virtue signaling radicals.
Fortunately, parents are starting to wake up and pull their children out of government- run schools.
Pandemic regulations that forced students out of the classroom helped expedite the flight away from so-called “public” schools.
According to the Urban Institute, during the pandemic, there was a 30% increase in homeschooling in the United States.
Meanwhile, the Household Pulse Survey found that currently, about 5.5% of students nationwide are now homeschooled.
But those numbers could soon skyrocket after parents learn what woke schools are now doing behind their backs.
Student not allowed to be “straight”
A disturbing email exchange between a mom and a Left-wing school teacher has been unearthed and it clearly illustrates the indoctrination going on in classrooms.
Radio talk show host, Jason Rantz has published the shocking e-mail chain that started after one Seattle mother learned the teacher had told her son he couldn’t “identify” as “straight.”
According to Rantz’ report, Seattle history teacher, Ian Golash, had students fill out a “Social Identity Wheel” worksheet.
What business that has in a history class is anyone’s guess.
The worksheet instructed students to identify their race, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, physical condition, any motional or developmental disabilities, and their sexual orientation.
Golash wasn’t pleased when one 15-year-old student labeled himself, “straight.”
The child’s mom emailed Golash, questioning why he would do such a thing.
“I did not tell anyone what words they should use to identify themselves,” Golash replied. “In fact, I stated explicitly that I was not going to tell them how they should identify except to explain the difference between race, ethnicity and nationality.”
Speaking out of the other side of his mouth, he then explained why he objects to the term, “straight.”
“Because I think language has power and that it shapes the culture that we live in, I did say to the class, in response to a student, that I do not use the term ‘straight’ because it implies that to not be straight is to be ‘crooked’ which could have a negative connotation,” Golash wrote.
“Patriarchy” propaganda in the classroom
The same mother claimed Golash admonished her son when the student tried to correct the teacher’s misinformation and gaslighting about Republican Governor Ron DeSantis removing Critical Race Theory from Florida schools.
According to the mom, her son was told he was a “product of the patriarchy that teaches young boys not to care.”
Golash affirmed as much.
“My response about patriarchy was not directed at one student, it was connected to discussions of systems of power that we had been having in the previous few days and the behavior of several boys in the class,” Golash responded. “I certainly wasn’t making any implications about your household. I was referring to a system of power that we all live in.”
Apparently, In Golash’s mind – and the mind of radical teachers just like him from coast-to-coast — it’s ok to indoctrinate students, as long as you’re not signaling out just one child for brainwashing.
