Leftists have aggressively attempted to secularize the culture.
That’s why they are so hostile toward Christianity.
And the Left’s War on Christmas just escalated in a shocking way.
Atheist Democrats are determined to stamp out Christianity from all of public life.
Each year during the Christmas season, leftist activists around the country make a push to ban Christmas celebrations, suggesting that they are not “inclusive.”
But Christmas is a national holiday that anyone can celebrate.
Even if people choose not to partake in Christmas celebrations, that is not a justification for banning others from enjoying the holiday.
That’s why the Liberty Counsel issued a letter demanding that one city in Wisconsin reverse its ban on Christmas symbols.
The nonprofit organization wrote to Wauwatosa City Administrator Jim Archambo “regarding [Wauwatosa’s] unconstitutional ban on Christmas holiday symbols, decorations, and expressions within public buildings and by its employees…[The] Christmas holiday and another holiday with deep religious significance to our country – Thanksgiving – are both recognized by the City within the Wauwatosa Code of Ordinances. The word ‘Christmas’ appears multiple times in the Code, including within the context of ‘Christmas trees,’ as well as ‘Christmas Day.’”
The city recognizes Christmas as a holiday, but has ordered public officials not to celebrate it in Grinch-like fashion.
The Liberty Counsel added that Wauwatosa officials “directed employees in an email to create an ‘inclusive’ environment for all by refraining ‘from using religious decorations’ that are ‘solely associated with Christmas,’ such as red and green colors, when decorating public spaces in city buildings.”
The Left have such disdain for Christmas, a national holiday, that they want to ban the colors red and green from buildings.
That is the level of hostility militant atheists have for any type of religious iconography.
The Liberal Counsel also argued that the “Christmas holiday ban violates the U.S. Constitution by showing hostility toward Christianity. The First Amendment does not permit the City to eliminate Christmas holiday symbols or expression…The administrators’ ban on Christmas decorations is unlawful, especially considering three recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions in Shurtleff v. City of Boston, Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, and Groff v. DeJoy…”
These types of attacks on Christmas are not new.
The hard left not only despise religion, but they despise American traditions that tie people together.
It’s disturbing to think what may have happened to religious liberty in this country if Hillary Clinton had won in 2016 and appointed three leftists to the Supreme Court.
