Radicals have become entrenched in positions of power in government in Democrat-dominated places.
By all measures, the results have repeatedly been shown to be disastrous as criminals run rampant.
Now, one Soros-backed far-left California DA just learned the hard way how her policies don’t work.
Alameda County, Calif. District Attorney Pamela Price is yet another in a seemingly endless line of radical prosecutors who came to power after receiving huge sums of cash to prop up her campaign by leftist billionaire George Soros.
Price is especially “out there” when it comes to her politics and worldview.
A leaked internal memo obtained by an independent media outlet called the Berkeley Scanner shows that Price pledged to “bring balance back to sentencing and reduce recidivism.”
A predictable approach has yielded predictable results
In practice, what this has meant is that she has taken an unfortunately typical far-left approach to law and order.
Price favored lenient charges for serious felonies, pushed for probation over jail time in most cases and avoided enhancements that would keep convicted criminals behind bars.
Indeed, it seems that her radicalism knows no bounds.
Rebecca Warren is a seventeen-year veteran of her job in the district attorney’s office, but she quit her deputy district attorney post, and the reason is a doozy.
Price refused to commit to sentencing enhancements in the slaying death of a 2-year-old named Jasper Wu that would have made the suspects eligible for life sentences without parole.
Warren, who is of Chinese descent, wrote, “I can no longer tolerate this mistreatment of the AAPI [Asian American and Pacific Islander] community by leaders of our office.”
All too often, the radicals who would force the everyday population to have to deal with the consequences of their radicalism are insolated from those repercussions personally.
But that’s not always true, and unfortunately for Price, this is one of those times.
The super woke district attorney was the victim of a car burglary this week.
According to police, Price had her work laptop stolen from a county vehicle parked outside Alameda County Family Justice Center in Oakland.
Adding insult to injury, the “defund the police” advocate waited an hour for police to show up after the incident was reported.
When they never came, Price was forced to give up and file a report online.
Some say this is karma
Writing on the social media platform X, Tom Moore believes this is karma for Price.
He wrote, “Defund the police, soft on crime karma for Soros backed DA Pamela Price, who was the victim of auto theft and pilferage of her laptop, and got to experience first hand the slow response from grossly understaffed local PD as result of budget cuts & anti police rhetoric, since the 2020 summer of love $2 billion dollars in mostly peaceful 🙄 protests 🪧 that resulted in nationally a dozen and 1/2 officers killed.”

While it’s probably very unlikely, here’s to hoping that Price reflects on this incident and the role she played in the deterioration of public safety in her community.
Failing that, perhaps this incident will show the voters that a new direction is needed, and they change course in the next election.
