People in the entertainment industry are expected to fall in line with the Left.
Those who don’t immediately get kicked out of the inner circle.
But one star SNL comedian revealed the politician who pushed him over the edge and made him leave the Democrat Party.
Actor and comedian Rob Schneider has become a target of the Left because of his refusal to go along with the Democrat Party agenda.
Like so many in Hollywood, Schneider once considered himself a liberal.
But the Left went too far, and it forced him to walk away from the Democrats.
Gavin Newsom caused Rob Schneider to ditch Democrats
For Schneider, his moment of clarity came because of California governor Gavin Newsom.
Upon hearing the news of Tulsi Gabbard leaving the Democrat Party, Schneider said in an interview on Fox News, “It shouldn’t be such a shock. We don’t get ten parties, you get two. And I really feel like I don’t want the Democrat Party trying to run my life…And there’s not one aspect of your life that they don’t want to interfere with. So I had it with them. So I got out of California and moved to the slightly freer state of Arizona.”
Gabbard, a former Democrat Congresswoman and 2020 Presidential Primary candidate, pummeled the Democrat Party in her recent video, explaining, “I can no longer remain in today’s Democrat Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoke anti-white racism, [and] actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms…”
Schneider said that “taxes” were one of the issues that changed his mind; California has a state income tax of 13.3%, and the Democrats want to push it even higher in pursuit of nonsensical policies.
Schneider continued, “I mean, Newsom pushed me over the edge…I mean, it’s just like, I just don’t think your life gets better there. It gets worse.”
The former Saturday Night Live star tapped into the thinking of many Californians who have fled the state.
Insane California policies caused net negative migration despite state’s support for open borders, illegals
California has endured net negative migration out of the state two years in a row, the first two times it has ever happened in state history.
That’s despite record numbers of illegal immigrants flooding across the southern border.
Schneider added, “You know something’s wrong when people say, like, if you put God and family and country first, that’s somehow controversial…How is that controversial? So I think at a certain point, you have to say enough of this, and stand up to it.”
The Democrats have gone so far that lifelong liberals in Hollywood are jeopardizing their careers in order to speak out against the “woke” insanity.
