Today Americans are paying more for gas than they ever have before.
Not surprisingly, those in Democrat-controlled cities and states are paying even higher rates than the rest of America.
But prices are going to a whole new level in this one west coast city where gas prices are inching towards double-digit numbers.
Per AAA, the average gas price in the United States is $4.60, which is outrageous.
Never before have Americans been forced to pay so much for this essential good.
But these prices do not just hurt Americans at the pump.
These sky-high fuel prices are making everything that needs to be shipped on a truck or vehicle more expensive, which is just about every single consumer good imaginable.
Record-high fuel prices are strangling our economy, and Joe Biden does not seem to care.
In fact, it seems as if he is doing everything in his power to make them go up even more.
Just look at what he did to terminate leases for oil companies in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.
Biden is doing everything he can to reverse Donald Trump’s attempts to make America more energy independent.
The scary part of this whole crisis is that the worst is yet to come.
For example, in the liberal-controlled city of Los Angeles, consumers are paying upwards of $7 for a gallon of gas.
Some gas stations in the Los Angeles area are even retrofitting their digital street signs to accommodate double-digit gas prices under the assumption that gas may rise above $10 a gallon.
Granted this is in part due to California’s high gas tax, but make no mistake, these once unimaginable prices in
Los Angeles are coming to a gas station near you.
Most economists agree that America is on a glide path to a very harsh recession, and gas prices will only continue to rise for the foreseeable future.
But it does not have to be this way.
The United States is blessed with vast natural resources, including massive oil reserves in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.
America has what it takes to be energy independent, which will not only ease fuel prices but protect us from having to buy oil from hostile nations such as Iran and Russia.
However, do not expect Joe Biden to start drilling anytime soon.
As you may remember, the very first thing he did after taking the oath of office was to cancel construction on the Keystone XL oil pipeline which would have flooded the United States with cheap oil from our friendly neighbors in Canada.
Instead, Americans are suffering, and Joe Biden and the radical Left is to blame.
