SCOTUS Justices lost it when this Governor told them what he really thinks of abiding by their rulings

Leftists, with an assist from the corporate-controlled  media, talk incessantly about Republicans sabotaging “norms and traditions.”

However, many episodes suggest that they are the ones who lash out like petulant children when things don’t go their way.

But SCOTUS Justices lost it when this Governor told them what he really thinks of abiding by their rulings.

Leftists are seething with rage these days over the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ever since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year, Democrat politicians have adopted a siege mentality.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) appeared on MSNBC’s “Katy Tur Reports” and he was already half-cocked over any potential future Supreme Court restrictions on abortion.

Host Katy Tur asked, “Is there anything you can do as a Governor if [the abortion pill] mifepristone gets struck down by the Supreme Court?”

Murphy replied, “Oh my Lord. I listened to your reporters talk about some of the positions these judges in New Orleans are taking. We’ve gone to the CEOs of both Walgreens and CVS to make sure that we had unencumbered access. We have considered a bulk acquisition. We have clearly joined in legal action as an amicus matter. Everything is on the table, and please, God, it doesn’t come to that, but we will continue to fight it like heck.”

The invocation of God was particularly ironic.

Murphy: Following rulings you don’t like is for chumps

Tur followed up, asking, “So, if you get a bulk order of mifepristone, would you be then prescribing it out in defiance of the Supreme Court?”

Murphy answered, “To be determined. But when I say everything is on the table, Katy, I mean that. I think when you’ve got — this is going to cost — this action, generally, whether it’s mifepristone or whether it’s North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida — by the way, at six weeks, my wife and I don’t think that we knew we were pregnant with any of our four kids at six weeks. So, people need to understand that. But this is going to cost people’s lives. It’s going to cost them health. It’s also going to cost people’s lives, women in particular, sadly. And so, if that’s what’s at stake, we’ll do whatever it takes to save lives.”

Murphy was alluding to future Democrat attempts to simply ignore rulings of the nation’s highest court if rulings aren’t to their liking.

Don’t say gay.  That’s different…

On June 26, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down all state bans on same-sex marriage, legalized it in all fifty states, and required states to honor out-of-state same-sex marriage licenses in the case Obergefell v. Hodges.

Somehow one gets the impression that if conservative states simply “opted out” of that decision, Murphy and his far-left friends would be far less enthusiastic about such a course of action.

Regardless of what SCOTUS eventually decides on abortion-related cases, the law is the law and Democrats and corporate media talk show hosts ought to remind Murphy of it.

Anything less than full acknowledgment of that will only lead to further balkanization of the United States, which is the last thing this country needs.
