The current political climate is filled with a cast of characters so colorful you’d think they were part of a sitcom.
But it’s all too true.
And Virginia Republicans just suffered a loss so painful, that John Fetterman’s wife is ready to move to the old dominion in search of her favorite vices.
These days finding new lows seems to be a foundational component of the Democrats’ platform.
The wife of scandal-ridden Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman summed up their approach succinctly in a social media post a few months back.
“Pot, porn, Planned Parenthood?” Gisele Fetterman wrote. “I’m in.”
Now it looks like that’s exactly what Democrats did their best to usher these policies into law at the ballot box in Virginia earlier this month.
“Pot Grandma” Louise Lucas managed to get herself reelected to the Virginia state Senate in a sweep that foiled Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin’s efforts to turn the purple state red.
Lucas has bragged in the past that she’s a “78-year-old grandma who legalized pot and now has her own cannabis store” on High Street.
She’s also the grandma who got busted for hawking Lucky Charms cereal bars containing delta-9 THC which is still illegal to sell in Virginia despite the law legalizing the possession of marijuana.
Meanwhile, “Porn Dem” Susanna Gibson barely lost her run for office by less than 1,000 votes even after a sex tape surfaced.
And it was all made possible by pro-abortion crowd that help push Democrats over the top in Virginia.
“Democrats soared to victory largely on a wave of abortion fear mongering, and are unlikely to tone down the hysteria with a presidential election now less than a year out. The swarms of D.C. bureaucrats now deciding elections in tiny Northern Virginia suburbs are unable to resist any expansion in progressive sensibilities,” Daily Caller reported. “Meanwhile, party leadership reveals the inmates have taken control of the asylum.”
Kamala Harris is apparently offering herself up as their ringleader.
“Today, Democrats won in Virginia and protected reproductive freedom,” Harris posted on Tuesday.
“But make no mistake: Abortion and so many other fundamental freedoms are going to be on the ballot in 2024,” she added. “That’s why we need you to join our campaign.”
Based on what’s already going down now, it’s hard to imagine exactly how crazy the political world could become by a year from now.
