Last Saturday, thieves took things to the next level, after ransacking a Nordstrom at the Topanga Mall in Canoga Park.
Officials estimate that anywhere from 30 to 50 thieves ran into the store, feverishly snagging merchandise from store shelves.
Furthermore, law enforcement officials estimate that
anywhere from $60,000 to $100,000 was stolen in this eye-opening smash-and-grab robbery.
The mass robbery was caught on video and went viral almost immediately after going online.
People across the world are shocked by this bold criminal act, including legendary rapper 50 Cent.
50 Cent shared a screenshot of the chaotic video, commenting “I told you LA was finished.”
He added, “They are gonna have to lock the doors, appointment only. SMH.”
To 50’s point, stores in other California cities have implemented similar measures, with some department stores around the bay area locking up the majority of their merchandise.
In fact, Nordstrom’s flagship store in San Francisco recently announced its closure, following years of similar thefts.
50 Cent has criticized California’s decline in the past, warning officials of the damage their pro-crime policies are doing to citizens and business owners.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has not yet offered any meaningful remarks about the robbery, and many of his critics claim that he appears unbothered by the terrifying mass robbery.
