All across the nation, rampant crime has made life unlivable for millions of innocent people.
Commuters, business owners, and working class Americans are the ones who are ultimately paying the price for this crime wave.
But this horrifying robbery has Philadelphia residents afraid to leave their homes.
The “City of Brotherly Love” has become everything but that
Crime has exploded in most American communities in recent years, leaving law abiding citizens fearing for their lives.
This is especially true in Democrat controlled parts of the country, which have been ravaged by pro-crime policies.
Philadelphia has become one of America’s most dangerous cities, causing many business owners to either rethink how they protect themselves or get out of town.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, last Saturday a pair of arm robbers descended upon George’s Famous Pizzeria at around 8 pm.
The pair were hooded, and described as men aged 18-25, however their identities have not yet been released.
One robber fired a gunshot before trying to get behind the counter.
Unfortunately for him, the store owner was well armed, and defended his business by shooting the armed robber.
The robber died from the gunshot, while his accomplice fled on foot according to ABC 6 news.
Local resident Bill Hackett, who lives very close to George’s Famous Pizzeria spoke to ABC 6 news about the attack, detailing what he saw.
Per Hackett, “What I saw was a guy lying down on the ground. Blood. The owner’s son said he had to shoot him because the guy was shooting at him. Said he had to shoot back in self-defense.”
Details are still emerging about the attack, however as of now police have not yet released any details about the second attacker.
Understandably, residents are terrified about the attack, fearing for their lives every time they leave their home
The attack on George’s Famous Pizzeria demonstrates the importance of responsible gun ownership
Not only does this attack demonstrate the crippling crime problem, impacting millions of law abiding Americans, but it also highlights the importance of responsible gun ownership.
If the store owner was not armed, then he could have been seriously harmed.
Many on the Left, including the Democrats who run the city of Philadelphia, hate to admit this.
However, attacks such as this one cannot be ignored, and will only increase unless Philadelphia and other cities do something about violent crime.
Law abiding citizens deserve to work, eat, and live without living with the constant fear of being robbed and attacked.
