Big City Democrat mayors are full of hot air, but reality just popped their balloons.
Leftists have spent years mocking tiny border cities and rural areas for complaining about the deluge of illegals traipsing into the country.
Those areas saw more than 2.3 million illegal immigrants pour through them in 2022 alone.
Meanwhile Democrats have spent years running their mouths claiming they’ll provide “sanctuary” for every illegal alien under the sun.
But now that “sanctuary cities” have been confronted with only a tiny fraction of the illegals crossing Joe Biden’s open borders, they’re melting down and turning on Joe Biden.
According to New York Mayor Eric Adams there’s “no more room at the inn.”
That announcement comes after the United States’ biggest city has taken in a little more than 30,000 illegal aliens.
“We received over 30,000 asylum seekers that are in need of not only shelter, but food, education for children, health care and some of the basic items that are needed,” Adams whined during a radio interview.
And he’s flipping out with news another blue state is now shipping their illegal aliens to the Big Apple.
From one blue state to another . . . and you with love.
“Now, we were notified yesterday that the governor of Colorado has now stated that they are going to be sending migrants to places like New York and Chicago. This is just unfair for local governments to have to take on this national obligation,” Adams griped. “We’ve done our job. There’s no more room at the inn.”
As Blue State Blues recently reported, Denver, Colorado’s mayor recently had the gall to complain after getting exactly what he asked for when it comes to his city’s appeal to illegals.
Mayor Michael Hancock then demanded that you pay for it by declaring a local emergency, which triggered the ability of the city, businesses, and local residents to apply for funding from the federal and state governments.
Now the Big Apple mayor is demanding other people outside of his city pay for it too.
In fact, Adams has demanded that Biden fork over $1 billion in taxpayer money—that’s more than $33,000 for every illegal Biden’s administration refused to turn back at the border.
Adam’s recently broke with Biden, pointing out that the President’s bungled response to the border crisis is “a real embarrassment.”
While Republican governors in Texas and Florida have been eviscerated for shipping illegal aliens on to blue cities, now it’s a Democrat in Colorado responsible for shuffling the illegals to other blue cities.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis claims the vast majority of illegals are only passing through his state and Colorado is merely working with nonprofits “to help migrants safely reach their desired final destination.”
One thing is for sure, so-called “sanctuary cities” melt down fast when put to the test.
