Public schools have been pushing increasingly radical curricula.
Teachers and administrators hew to a clear left-wing line.
But one middle school kid just put his “woke” teachers to shame.
The Left have attempted to turn the Gadsden flag, also known as the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag, into a hate symbol.
That’s why 12-year-old Jaiden Rodriguez of Colorado Springs was told to remove a Gadsden flag patch from his backpack.
A great teaching moment
A teacher told him that the flag was linked to slavery, which is completely false.
Rodriguez explained in an interview with Daily Wire host Ben Shapiro, “They don’t know what they’re talking about at all. It’s a revolutionary flag. It has nothing to do with slavery…It was meant as a warning sign not to tread on our rights in the revolution. Which is funny because they tried to tread on my rights and then they found out they [could] not.”
School administrator Jeff Yocum wrote in an email that the flag has “been sometimes interpreted to convey racially-tinged messages in some contexts” and was “tied to the Confederate flag and other white-supremacy groups, including ‘Patriot’ groups.”
Yocum added, “We truly hope to have Jaiden back at school tomorrow to resume his normal school day, but that will require this patch to be removed from his backpack.”

Rodriguez was obviously in the right, so much so that Democratic Governor Jared Polis sided with him.
Even Polis can’t hide the true history
Polis wrote, “Obviously the Gadsden flag is a proud symbol of the American revolution and [an] iconic warning to Britain or any government not to violate the liberties of Americans. It appears on popular American medallions and challenge coins through today and Ben Franklin also adopted it to symbolize the union of the 13 colonies. It’s a great teaching moment for a history lesson!”
Leftists have tried hard to shift the Gadsden flag into a hate symbol.
During the 2017 Virginia gubernatorial race, a Democratic PAC put out an insane attack ad against Republican candidate Ed Gillespie.
The video showed a truck with a Gadsden flag threatening to run over an immigrant child.
The FBI even circulated a document that had the Gadsden flag, the Betsy Ross flag, and the Gonzales battle flag as signs of “Militia Violent Extremism.”
Sadly, there are teachers and administrators like this all across the country in schools.
