Joe Biden is beginning to catch flak from his own party.
His failed policies are causing blowback on blue jurisdictions.
But Big Apple Mayor Eric Adams was furious when he heard six words from one blue state politician.
Among Joe Biden’s failures as president, his handling of the border crisis is near the top of the list.
Joe Biden inexplicably reversed all of Donald Trump’s effective border policies, including the Remain in Mexico agreement with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Instead, the Biden administration reinstated catch-and-release; so-called asylum seekers are released into the United States before their asylum court hearing, but over 90% of them never show up and do not self-deport.
Border state governors like Texas’s Greg Abbott have forced Democrats to put their money where their mouth is by sending illegal aliens to “sanctuary” jurisdictions such as New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
All of sudden, prominent Democrats who have boasted about their city’s immigration sanctuary policies now sound like border hawks.
And Republicans are not interested in their cries.
Long Island Congressman effectively told NYC Mayor to stuff it
New York Congressman Nick LaLota called out Mayor Eric Adams, Governor Kathy Hochul, and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and their broken policies.
LaLota put it succinctly, “You broke it, you bought it!”
Democrats have essentially called for open borders, and now they realize the disastrous result.
LaLota added in a statement, “The Migrant Crisis is the result of poor policy choices. To reverse course, Mayor Adams and Governor Hochul should repeal their sanctuary laws while President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas should secure the border and reinstate the Remain in Mexico policy. Federal taxpayers should not be forced to send one penny to NYC and Longer Islanders should not be made to shoulder any financial, education or public safety burden until these conditions are met.”

The 180-degree flip on the migrant crisis many “Sanctuary City” Democrats have now made was summed up in a statement by Mayor Adams where he said that the problem would “destroy” New York City.
Adams remarked, “Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City…We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month…We had a $12 billion deficit that we’re going to have to cut. Every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us…It’s going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this. I said it last year when we had 15,000. I’m telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew, we’re about to lose. And we’re all in this together.”
As LaLota pointed out, people in his district did not call for these policies that Adams believes will “destroy” New York.
