Far-left politicians have zero consideration for how their policies impact regular people in their cities and states.
While their ideology has been detrimental they’ve managed to escape voters’ wrath, but there are signs that could be changing.
Now Massachusetts Democrats just made this jaw-dropping ask of private homeowners.
They’ve encouraged illegal immigration for decades, and now that they are getting what they’ve claimed to support, they’re scrambling to pick up the pieces.
That’s the lot of many far-left Democrat officials in deep blue cities and states, and it’s all because Joe Biden and his administration have never had any intention of securing and policing our nation’s southern border.
As millions of newcomers of dubious legality have crossed into the United States, hundreds of thousands have made their way to the Bay State.
Massachusetts may or may not technically be a “sanctuary state” because there is no law on the books explicitly stating that to be the case, but de facto, it is.
The far-left Center for Immigration Studies counts Massachusetts on their lists of sanctuary states because Massachusetts law does not authorize law enforcement to hold people solely on detainer requests from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) without another reason to keep them in custody.
Democrats for years both at the state and national levels, along with their sympathetic special interest groups, have all tacitly or overtly encouraged activity that is at odds with federal law.
Because of a state law, Massachusetts is forced to pay for shelter and housing for homeless families.
Massachusetts has gone woke and gotten broke in an entirely different wa
Since the state’s housing system is already overwhelmed, Massachusetts now houses 1,400 families in 40 hotels in 28 cities at taxpayer expense — and free for the illegal aliens.
According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the average stay for these families is 14 months of free room and board.
The problem is reaching a breaking point and the state’s politicians want federal help – from U.S. Taxpayers who don’t support their radical policies – to bail them out.
But for law-abiding residents it gets even more concerning.
Governor Maura Healey (D) has declared a state of emergency as a predictable consequence of the “open door” policy.
Days after the emergency declaration, Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll (D) went further, saying, “Most importantly, if you have an extra room or suite in your home, please consider hosting a family. Housing and shelter is our most pressing need and become a sponsor family.”
That sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Elon Musk noted the problem on social media, saying, “They’ve run out of hotel rooms, are kicking kids out of school for illegal housing and now they want your homes too.”

Howie Carr: “It was decent if woke neighborhood, but now it’s a Bidenville”
Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr wrote in an op-ed, “Joe Biden et al. have turned what was a decent, if woke neighborhood, into a Bidenville. The illegals are up all night, driving their unregistered scooters everywhere. Needles litter the gutters. The illegals are harassing young American girls and ‘verbally abusing’ adults.”
But that isn’t stopping the state from reaching out to interest groups to pressure residents into taking illegal immigrants into their homes.
A group called Immigrant Support Alliance is pushing homeowners to bring illegal immigrants into their homes to act as a “host home.”
🚨Melrose, Massachusetts is holding an event called “Exploring the Host Home Experience” to encourage residents to house illegals in their homes.

While currently any housing of illegal immigrants is a strictly voluntary endeavor there are fears Governor Healey could use her power to require citizens to take illegal immigrants into their homes because the “right to housing” is a law.
If that were to happen, it could turn even a state as blue as Massachusetts into a bright shade of crimson on the electoral maps.
Hopefully for the law-abiding in Massachusetts and elsewhere, the public sends a powerful signal in November that drastic changes in leadership are needed.
