In most Democrat-controlled parts of America, crime has spiraled out of control.

Years of pro-crime policies such as so-called bail reform and defunding crucial resources like police budgets have created an environment for crime to thrive.

Law-abiding Americans are the ones who are paying the price, and now many communities in America have been turned into warzones.

But what just happened in Chicago just took things to a new level.

According to the Chicago Police Department, early last Sunday morning a man was robbed in the Humboldt Park area of Chicago.

But this was not your average robbery.

According to police, the victim was confronted by two men who were wielding hammers, who demanded that he hand over his possessions.

Before getting back in their vehicle, the street thugs snatched the victim’s phone and then took off.

However, this armed robbery follows a pattern of other robberies in the area that match the same descriptions.

According to police, there have been a total of 50 armed robberies reported from December 7 to December 10, believed to be committed by the same group of criminals.

There have been no further updates about this string of crimes, but it appears as if Chicago has some work to do.

Crimes like this have become very common in Chicago, which has become an almost unlivable city.

According to Chicago Police Department crime statistics, Robbery is up by 15 percent, theft is up by 58 percent, and carjackings are up by nearly 100 percent since last year.

More specifically, just over 70 robberies have occurred in the city of Chicago just since December 2.

These strings of violent crimes and robberies in Chicago prove once again just how destructive Democrat control has been for the city of Chicago.

Chicago’s mayor Lori Lightfoot is refusing to take crime seriously, and the results are devastating.

What these hammer attacks also prove is the futility of what the Left likes to call “common-sense gun control”.

Criminals will always find a way to carry out their crimes, guns or no guns, and gun control only goes to disarm law-abiding citizens so that they cannot defend themselves.

Chicago needs to start taking crime seriously, or else crime rates will only continue to get worse and worse.
