Vice President Harris’ rise in politics all the way to her Veep position is a mystery to many but her old beau is spilling tea on some inside political baseball.

Because Kamala Harris’ old beau just exposed a dirty secret about a top Democrat’s ‘pivot’.
San Francisco is an absolute disaster of a city and Mayor London Breed isn’t making things any better.
That isn’t just the opinion of certain pundits with a political axe to grind but instead reportedly the estimation of most city residents, who must live and work amid the infestation of crime and despair.
Solid majority of residents view crime and safety as major concerns
A poll published earlier this month by the local political research group GrowSF found that nearly 80% named crime and public safety as a major concern for the city.
In a major warning sign to the Mayor, 65% said that they disapproved of how Breed was responding to major issues in San Francisco.
In summarizing their findings, GrowSF said, “Unfortunately, half of all victims didn’t report their crimes to the police. What’s the point of reporting crimes if nothing happens? We must fully staff our police to decrease wait times and improve case resolutions.”

Having been Mayor for nearly six years, Breed can’t credibly claim to have no fault in the city’s current situation.
She came to power as a quintessential garden-variety far-left politician so common in America’s solidly Democrat large cities.
She supported defunding the police in 2020 after Black Lives Matter protests opposed law enforcement agencies, and she cut the police and sheriff departments’ budgets by $120 million to “remove barriers to progress.”
The disastrous results of those decisions are now plain for all to see.
When comparatively more moderate Democrats Ahsha Safai and Daniel Lurie entered the Mayoral race earlier this year, London Breed sensed that the political winds were blowing against her and reversed course on several fronts.
Breed: Defund the…who?
When her primary opponents amped up criticism of her administration she suddenly saw the wisdom of expanding the police department’s budget by $25 million and now says that she has always focused on “bringing in new officers,” according to a June update of her webpage.
She is also now requiring that welfare recipients stay off drugs to keep receiving benefits.
Earlier this month she eased restrictions on police pursuits.
If this all seems like a cynical ploy to win votes, her political opponents think the same thing.
Lurie and Safai have noted that until only very recently, Breed had done virtually nothing to combat the worsening crime problem during her long tenure.
In an interview with Politico, Safai said, “It seems pretty desperate. The Mayor has been in office for six years. She’s been in charge.”
Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown – the same Willie Brown who, while dating Vice President Kamala Harris during his time as Speaker of the California Assembly appointed her to several political posts – had comments on Breed’s pivot.
Brown told Politico, “She’s playing a good poker game. She’s doing what she needs to do to get reelected.”
For the sake of the city, hopefully voters will see through the ruse when they cast their votes in the next election.
