The good news for Chicago residents is that Lori Lightfoot is no longer their mayor.
The bad news is that Brandon Johnson has officially replaced her as Mayor, and he has already proved that he is even more pro-crime than even Lightfoot was.
Because Johnson responded to a beautiful police officer’s slaying with a stomach-churning comparison – and its only his first week in office.
Brandon Johnson is nothing more than an extreme version of Lori Lightfoot
Under Lori Lightfoot’s watch, Chicago deteriorated significantly.
Crime exploded, and people left the city in droves to avoid the number of shootings and robberies that plague the windy city.
Lori Lightfoot is now out, and replacing her is far-left extremist Brandon Johnson.
Johnson is a proud supporter of the “Defund The Police” movement, and first turned heads when he defended the rioting mobs of teens who recently terrorized downtown Chicago.
This last Monday, Brandon Johnson assumed office, and in his inauguration speech, Mayor Brandon Johnson turned heads with a revoltingly bizarre comparison.
When addressing the issue of crime, Brandon Johnson said, “The tears of Adam Toledo’s parents are made of the same sorrow as those of Officer Preston’s parents.”
Johnson is referring to the tragic death of Chicago Police Officer Areanah Preston, who was shot outside of her home after returning home from a night shift.

He compared this horrible shooting with the death of 13-year-old Adam Toledo, who was shot and killed by police after he evaded police custody while armed.
These two cases have no direct link, other than that they involved Chicago Police Officers.
This bizarre comparison has people across Chicago and the nation scratching their heads.
Many were hoping that Mayor Johnson would address the rising crime in the city, but instead, he made this remark, which seems to justify the shooting death of Officer Preston.
Mayor Brandon Johnson has not clarified his statement, or released any meaningful plan to combat crime in the city he now claims to serve.
As long as voters keep electing radical Democrats, crime will keep rising
At the end of the day, as long as Chicago voters keep electing anti-police mayors like Lori Lightfoot and Brandon Johnson, Chicago will keep getting worse.
The street takeovers that recently happened will become a regular part of life in Chicago under Brandon Johnson’s watch.
Brandon Johnson openly brags about not liking police officers and his shameful comments about a slain police officer prove as much.
Chicago is in desperate need of restoration, and elected officials who are willing to take crime seriously, instead of promoting it like Brandon Johnson.
