For months Democrat John Fetterman’s basement-bound campaign seemed like something out of a sitcom.
That was, until he collided with one of the most powerful forces in Pennsylvania politics.
Now the ramifications of his sneaky campaign tactics are delivering a devastating blow.
John Fetterman is playing with fire as his campaign continues to blow off the most powerful newspaper in Pennsylvania.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette doubles down on demand for Fetterman records
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is continuing to call on US Senate candidate John Fetterman to release his medical records to prove he’s competent to hold office.
The Democrat, who is already Pennsylvania’s Lieutenant Governor, has been trying to run a campaign without actually allowing the public to see or hear from him for obvious reasons.
The 53-year-old’s health has become a major campaign issue after he suffered from a serious stroke earlier this year and then proceeded to run as much of a basement campaign as possible.
Voters and the press became suspicious about the effect his condition is having on his ability to serve after his campaign refused to schedule debates with his Trump-endorsed opponent, celebrity Doctor Mehmet Oz.
But now the editorial board for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has had it will all the games and Fetterman’s refusal to give voters a straight answer about his medical condition.
“Mr. Fetterman also is showing a fundamental lack of faith in people’s ability to put health into perspectives and fairly decide his overall fitness for office.”
In recent days gaffes committed during public appearances have reinforced concerns about his loss of mental acuity.
In fact, at this point he’s sounding as mentally lost and clueless as Joe Biden.
Botched comment seemingly intended to call Republican opponent an “authority”
“I’m doing fantastic, and it’s not about kicking balls in the authority or anything,” Fetterman said during an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.
That serving of word salad was supposed to be a snarky response to Dr. Oz after he described Fetterman as “kicking authority in the balls.”
Incredibly, even in a prerecorded video Fetterman is still a wreck.
“And make sure you take advantage of this amazing opportunity to, the only thing you have… stand… to lose is your record,” he told his supporters.
While the Post-Gazette is claiming that “Mr. Fetterman’s health should rank close to last” in a list of important campaign issues, the truth is America doesn’t need one more elected leader in Washington, D.C. who can’t form or express a coherent thought.
