The impact of Joe Biden’s border fiasco is hitting home in every part of the United States—and some veterans say it’s literally caused them to lose the roof over their heads.
Rather than hold President Joe Biden accountable for enforcing the laws of the land—literally his only legitimate role in the Oval Office—Democrats in big blue cities continue to pay lip service to their lawless illegal immigration agenda.
In New York City at least 20 homeless veterans have been displaced from the shelter they have been using presumably to make space for illegal aliens expected to flood into the city in the coming days and weeks.
One Republican State Assemblyman went on Fox and Friends to sound the alarm about the stunning development.
“So, the Biden administration, Governor Hochul, and the city of New York, they all have a part in this, and it’s a total embarrassment,” Assemblyman Brian Maher explained.
“It’s a slap in the face to veterans, to citizens of New York in this country, who are really being cast aside to allow for asylum seekers to come here,” he added.
Illegals over combat veterans
News of the shocking move on the part of the city to kick the veterans out of shelters came to Maher via Sharon Toney-Finch, CEO of the Yerik Israel Toney Foundation.
Toney-Finch noticed that she was suddenly hearing from veterans who lost their temporary shelter spots before their permanent housing options were available.
“At the end of the day, when it comes to this particular situation, you had combat veterans who were homeless, who were told to get out of their hotel,” Maher explained. “After one day, Sharon and her team scrambled to find them locations, and right now, what we’ve tried to do is let those veterans know we appreciate them. We’re embarrassed by what’s happened to them, but we have their backs.”
Of course, that’s an increasingly difficult promise to make and keep in a country wracked by inflation, rising urban crime, and experiencing one wave after the next of illegal immigration.
During Joe Biden’s tenure as President more than six million illegal aliens have already poured into the country—and they’re expected to keep coming at a rate of 10,000 or more a day.
