As sure as water is wet and the sky is blue, radical liberalism poisons everything it touches.
Government forcing of “Green” energy may make its proponents feel moral superiority but all it does is harm the regular folks.
Now, Golden State blackouts are imminent and the Biden administration is cheering the tragedy on.
Californians risk getting smacked with rolling blackouts, just four days after President Joe Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm praised the state’s green energy policies.
Biden Energy Czar would love to Californicate America
In an environment that some deride as “unprecedented climate change” while still others call it “Summer,” the combination of increased energy demands and lower output due to political leaders’ policies is leading to big problems.
California Independent Systems Operator (CAISO) issued an emergency alert and warned customers to be prepared for “power outages.”
All this happened just four days after Granholm talked up the state’s green energy transition in a Saturday interview.
In an interview with Fox 11 Los Angeles, Granholm praised California’s ability to shape national energy policy.
Granholm said, “I love the fact that California is unabashedly bold about green energy policy. The state as a green leader for the rest of the country. California’s boldness has shaped our willingness in the federal government to move further and faster.”
The emergency alert was issued as California’s grid struggles to cope with record-high levels of energy demand in California’s current heat wave.
Residents have been urged to curb power usage during the late afternoon and evening, according to a press release.
The operator is likely to declare a level 3 energy emergency and this would put the state one step away from ordering rotating power outages.
Governor dons heavy fleece during summer heatwave?
In a video posted to Twitter, Governor Gavin Newsom (D) called the risk of power outages “real and immediate” and begged residents to save energy by turning their thermostats to 78 degrees or higher.
This heat wave is set to be the hottest & longest on record in CA for September.⁰
We are now heading into the worst part of it – the risk of outages is real. Your efforts have paid off so far, but we need everyone to double down to save energy after 4pm. https://t.co/XKRYd9EPQI pic.twitter.com/HtVh5DAjQD— Office of the Governor of California (@CAgovernor) September 6, 2022
According to the California Energy Commission, the state is accelerating its plans to produce 100% of its energy from “clean” sources by 2045.
But supply-chain problems are preventing the state from developing enough renewable sources to meet elevated demands.
So now, thanks to Governor French Laundry, millions have to suffer in the miserable heat.
In a separate interview, Granholm said, “California is in the lead and can show the rest of the nation how it is done.”
But given completely preventable problems now taking shape in the Golden State it’s more likely that the rest of the country takes a look and simply says, “That’s a hard pass.”
