The Golden States’ push to incorporate Digital IDs is their most recent power grab, which has snatched headlines all across the world for its mind-boggling implementation.
In an attempt to phase out physical IDs, the state of California is rolling out a digital ID system, which allows users to present their driver’s license, among other state-issued forms and identifications, digitally.
Digital IDs could be used to prevent minors from purchasing legal marijuana and alcohol, as well as streamline a number of otherwise tedious administrative processes.
Raises alarms about massive Chinese-style surveillance
However, critics claim that this push for digital IDs opens Pandora’s Box for government malpractice.
Not only would digital IDs allow the government to track your daily moves with ease, but it also puts your security at risk.
First off, these digital IDs are stored in a single, state-managed database, which is significantly less secure than most leading cloud storage services.
Additionally, the state database permanently holds onto digital copies of your identification cards, along with other personal information such as your phone number, despite claiming that they do not store personal information.
As of now, very few locations across the state accept these digital IDs, proving that implementing this ambitious plan is not going as planned for California lawmakers.
Individual liberty is a foreign concept for the radical Left

Americans should be very cautious before handing over copies of their documents to a poorly secured database.
