Democrats are wary of running Joe Biden again in 2024.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has blatantly positioned himself as a pinch hitter for Biden.
But Newsom was embarrassed as his presidential chances came crashing to a halt with this display.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has desperately attempted to raise his profile nationally even though he has horribly managed his own state.
Newsom picked a fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis while hundreds of thousands of his own residents took refuge in the Sunshine State from California’s draconian lockdown measures, major crime rates, high taxes, and onerous regulations.
Newsom also crashed the second GOP debate so he could talk to reporters about how badly the Republican field performed on the stage.
Newsom’s latest attempt to prop himself up included a diplomatic trip to China.
Newsom hyped up the importance of pushing radical climate action as energy prices in his state skyrocket.
But Newsom’s China trip was highlighted by an embarrassing moment on a basketball court of all places.
Newsom attempted a behind-the-back dribble, lost his balance, and trucked a little kid.
Then he awkwardly patted the kid on the backside.
This Gavin Newsom video is something. Dude thinks he's on the Globetrotters. Keeps trying to spin a basketball on his finger and then commits an egregious offensive foul on a little Chinese kid and then wrestles him after he knocked him over. pic.twitter.com/ehCwwpMy72

The entire ordeal summed up Newsom in a nutshell: all flash, no substance.
Newsom was also joined on the trip by his wife Jennier Siebel, whose nonprofit organization the Representation Project pays her to jetset and make documentary films.
Newsom’s position as governor has unsurprisingly increased donations to the nonprofit from corporations that lobby Newsom.
The Sacramento Bee reported that “as Newsom’s political star ascended, records show his wife’s nonprofit received more than $800,000 from a dozen corporations that regularly lobby state government on matters affecting their financial bottom lines. In 2015, the year Newsom announced he would run for governor, The Representation Project’s contributions increased by 30% to almost $1.6 million.”
In essence, California taxpayers are funding Newsom’s trip that only has surface-level interest for the state.
Census data show that California has had net negative migration three years in a row; it had never happened once in state history, let alone three times.
And some of the people who left were Newsom’s in-laws.
Fox News reported that “Kenneth F. Siebel Jr. and Judith A. Siebel, parents of Newsom’s wife Jennifer Siebel and longtime California residents, became Florida residents in 2020 after purchasing a $3.3 million Naples home in March of that year, records show. The Siebels appear to still have ownership of their California home in northern San Francisco suburb of Ross. Newsom’s in-laws, however, officially became registered voters in the Sunshine State as of June 2020. Kenneth Siebel is a registered Republican while Judith Siebel has no party affiliation.”
Newsom is thousands of miles away from where his problems lie.
