Democrat policy positions are rotten to the core.
And as they face growing threats of exposure, leftists are lashing out in anger.
Now California Governor Gavin Newsom is attacking Fox News for this sick reason.
Democrats like to pretend gun-toting conservatives and rural Americans are uncouth and dangerous characters.
But the truth is that big blue cities and states are some of the most dangerous parts of the country with criminals knowing they have the edge in areas where more than half the population is so terrified of firearms they wouldn’t dream of keeping one for personal protection.
Newsom blames Fox News for attacks
Now in the wake of a rash of killings in California—where nobody was able to shoot back and protect themselves—Newsom is blaming Fox News for the carnage.
Newsom was visiting victims of the Monterey Park shooting where 11 people died when he was informed another 7 people had been shot in Half Moon Bay.
Those shootings came on the heels of a cartel-style shooting in Goshen where six family members were shot including a 73-year-old grandmother, 16-year-old mother, and a baby.
Instead of trying to figure out why one of the bluest states in America is home to such brutal carnage, Newsom is grasping for a scapegoat to blame and Fox News came across his radar.
“It’s a disgrace what they say, what these people say every single night,” Newsom said, according to ABC 10. “There’s xenophobia, they’re racial priming, what they have done to perpetuate crime and violence in this country, by scapegoating, and by doing not a damn thing about gun safety, not a damn thing for decades.”
Of course, “gun safety” won’t do a thing to wipe out sheer evil in society.
The value of having good people trained, armed, and willing to step up at a moment’s notice has been proven time and again.
One of the most notable cases was in July last year when 22-year-old Elishjsha Dicken took down a mentally deranged shooter inside an Indiana mall.
It only took two minutes for Dicken to take out a man who was armed to the teeth and clearly planning to commit mass murder.
If he really wanted to make a difference, Newsom would be rolling back California’s strict anti-gun laws, and encouraging Californians to take real precautions to protect themselves.
Instead, he’s taking cheap shots at one of few outlets willing to deviate from the left’s scripted political narrative hoping to score points with his political party in the wake of horrific tragedies.
