One sure way to tell that you’re an effective communicator of a conservative message is that leftists will try to silence you.
This makes sense because when logic and reason aren’t on your side it’s better to just shut the conversation down.
Now Eric “Fang Banger” Swalwell challenged Ted Cruz to a bet but it didn’t end well for him.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) had a legendary response to Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) after the Californian offered a bet to the senator on the Dallas Cowboys-San Francisco 49ers game.
It really was an epic owning.
The Dallas Cowboys were scheduled to play the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.
Swalwell saw an opening to try and embarrass Cruz with a Twitter bet.
Swalwell tweeted, “I will make this open bet to @tedcruz — if the @dallascowboys beat the @49ers I won’t tweet for the rest of January. If the @49ers win you can’t tweet for rest of January. How Texan are you, Ted? Deal?”
Cruz immediately responded with, “how about we bet a Chinese dinner instead?”

Wrapped up literally and figuratively with Fang Fang
Of course, the “Chinese dinner” reference hearkens back to when Swalwell got wrapped up literally and figuratively a few years ago with a Chinese national named Fang Fang.
Intelligence officials told Axios that Fang used campaign fundraising, networking, rallies and romantic relationships with at least two Midwestern mayors to gain proximity to political power.
The whole episode would have been embarrassing for Swalwell if he had the capacity to feel any shame.
Fang even became involved in fundraising for Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign, although luckily for him there was no evidence that she made donations or illegal contributions.
Investigators got so alarmed by Fang’s behavior and activities that they alerted Swalwell in 2015 and gave him a “defensive briefing.”
Swalwell then cut off all ties with Fang, who left the country shortly thereafter.
Twitter users had some fun at Swalwell’s expense over the ordeal.

In a sense it’s too bad that the original stakes didn’t hold.
Swalwell is so insufferably unhinged on Twitter most days that even a small chance of a couple weeks’ worth of a break from it would be welcome.
In the end, Swalwell deserves every joke at his expense for his foolish involvement with China.
After hoping to score political points against Cruz, the smackdown he got was fitting.
With the 49ers beating the Cowboys by 7 on Sunday, there’s no word on whether Swalwell and Cruz will be sitting down for the Chinese dinner at Cruz’ expense. Cruz hasn’t stopped tweeting since, however.
