There is one special interest that leftists simply cannot ignore, and that is the Climate Lobby.
For decades the Left has stoked panic with false claims parroted by politicians’ puppet mouthpieces in order to rile a generation of climate extremists up in arms.
But climate extremist Greta Thunberg was just blindsided by one of the last people she expected.
Democrat politicians like California Governor Gavin Newsom and his fellow climate radical pals have remained locked in a mutual death cult under the guise of staving off an — always looming — environmental catastrophe for decades now.
The real goal of it all of course is more Big Government and transferring more money to left-wing cronies.
Now some of the biggest culprits are getting what they had coming.
California is a case study of why Big Government does not work
It is fair to say that California is one of the most poorly-run states in the union.
This is especially true when analyzing their financial situation which is abysmal to say the very least.
According to Breitbart News, California faced a $25 billion deficit last year despite having a $98 billion surplus in 2021 due to a massive inflow of federal COVID relief money.
The Los Angeles Times reported that “The governor’s administration blamed high inflation, the Federal Reserve raising interest rates and volatility in the stock market as the major forces causing state revenues to drop well below projections from last summer when he anticipated a $100-billion surplus in the current budget year.”
It added “His $297-billion budget plan for 2023-24 relies on delaying multiyear investments and shifting funding to bonds to offset the shortfall. Newsom said he was careful to preserve the state’s rainy day fund and budgetary reserves given the warnings about a nationwide recession and possibility that California’s financial problems could become more dire in the months and years ahead.”
Much like a 16-year-old girl with a credit card, California simply could not help itself when it comes to out-of-control spending.
In order to avoid an economic crisis, Gavin Newsom and lawmakers in Sacramento have had to make cuts, some of which have enraged the Left.
One ambitious project that is being slashed is Gavin Newsom’s expensive and disastrous climate plan.
Per the Associated Press, Gavin Newsom has proposed $6 billion in cuts to his wide-sweeping climate plan, which includes phasing out gas and diesel-powered cars, among other extreme measures.

What Gavin Newsom proved by slashing the budget for his climate plan is that climate change is not as serious as the climate lobby would like you to believe.
If climate change was as serious of an issue as they would like you to believe, then Gavin Newsom would not have slashed his plan so quickly.
The move surely blindsided the millions of youth like Greta Thunberg that the Left’s whole “man-made climate change” charade turned into little climate gestapo troopers.

The truth is, Gavin Newsom’s climate plan, along with many of his other projects, are nothing more than corrupt and wasteful spending bills that only go to line the pockets of various special interests.
This is corruption at its worst, and if California does not become more fiscally responsible, then a complete and total economic crisis will be coming their way, if it has not already.
