For years now, Democrats and the Left have made the police one of their top enemies.
But now it is obvious that this war on cops is having some serious consequences, namely out of control crime. Go figure.
But with that in mind, citizens of this city are perplexed by this strange new crime policy.
San Francisco goes full Terminator with licensed-to-kill robots
For many decades now, San Francisco has served as a mecca for the far-Left.
Unsurprisingly, these far-left extremists and the maniacs they elect to run their city are not very big fans of the police.
This pro-crime world view has been put into action over the last couple of years, and bay area police departments have taken a major hit from defunding and other pro-crime policies.
The City of San Francisco just passed a crime policy that has individuals on both sides of the political aisle scratching their heads.
The San Francisco City Council voted to allow the San Francisco Police Department to deploy potentially lethal, remote-controlled robots, the Associated Press reported.
City Supervisor Rafael Mandelman said on Twitter that SFPD will have access to seven robots “designed to neutralize dispose of bombs, and provide video reconnaissance for operators.”
He went on to say “Under this policy, SFPD is authorized to use these robots to carry out deadly force in extremely limited situations when risk to loss of life to members of the public or officers is imminent and outweighs any other force option available,”

Mandelman made it very clear that these robots will not have firearms attached to them for now.
Instead, SFPD spokeswoman Allison Maxie said in a prepared statement that they may be equipped with explosives “to contact, incapacitate, or disorient violent, armed, or dangerous suspect,” Maxie’s statement read.
Understandably, not everyone is so eager about this odd new policy.
Mandelman’s fellow City Supervisor, Hillary Ronen said on twitter that “Beyond disappointed that the Board seems poised to allow SFPD to use weaponized robots to use force against human beings. Only 4 of us are clearly against it. Shortsighted, dangerous, sad. The spirit of the SF I have always admired is weeping today,”

In Ronen’s defense, this policy is very shortsighted.
Rather than funding Police and taking actions to reduce crime, San Francisco has instead opted to pass a policy that will be very costly for taxpayers, and will likely not work.
And if the dystopian lethal robot police do work that likely isn’t a good thing either.
The concept of police robots is something straight out of a 1980’s B movie, and these robots will likely have little to no impact on crime.
And while many municipalities have long deployed bomb robots, San Francisco left the door open for these robots to use lethal force on humans which is fairly unique.
Of course, guns will not be used with these robots, but instead the “geniuses” who run San Francisco are allowing these robots to use explosives.
Policies such as this one makes you wonder how in the hell these people come up with these ideas.
You can imagine how that conversation went.
Defund The Police has left crime out of control so instead of investing in police patrolmen, San Francisco decides to authorize deadly robot force. Of course, leftist voters don’t like guns so the politicians say ‘we can use explosives.’
