Deep-blue cities are running head-first into reality.
Far-left policies are causing rapid social decay.
And a business in a sea of crime made one shocking declaration.
San Francisco has become the poster child for pro-crime policies run amok.
George Soros-backed prosecutor Chesa Boudin was recalled by the city’s liberals, but the “progressive” ethos remains.
As a result, crime and open-air drug dens have been customary.
In this environment, both residents and businesses have fled.
Despite the increased lawlessness, one bakery refuses to serve police officers in uniform.
Nice message
Reem’s has a policy that no uniformed officers will be served in the establishment.
The San Francisco Police Officers Association said in response, “NO COPS ALLOWED. That’s the confirmed policy of the bakery chain Reem’s. One of our officers was denied service last weekend because he was in uniform. Reem’s confirms that they will not serve anyone armed and in uniform. Presumably, this includes members of the US Military.”
Reem’s confirmed the policy in an email that read, “Thank you for your email…At Reem’s we do have a policy to not serve anyone that is armed in a uniform. All officers are welcome to come to our establishment when they are off duty and not armed.”
San Francisco Police Officers Association (POA) drops the gloves with a reasonable request
The San Francisco POA created a sign for Reem’s and other establishments to display that they don’t serve cops so they can know which businesses not to patronize when off duty.
The union added, “We are not asking Reem’s or any business with a bigoted policy to serve our officers. We’re asking them to own their discriminatory policy & and put up a sign so we know not to spend money in your establishment — on or off duty. We took the liberty of designing one for them.”

With all the problems facing the city, it’s amazing that the bakery is concerned about armed police officers in the establishment.
The National Fraternal Order of Police commented, “Soooo has Reem’s contacted SFPD and been placed on a do not respond list or nah? Just checking…”
The union makes a good point.
If Reem’s does not want to serve police officers, then police officers shouldn’t serve them.
This is why crime has spiraled so far out of control.
So-called progressives think that the police are the main problem, not pro-crime policies that put repeat offenders back on the streets.
